I stayed here for the first time recently on a friend's recommendation and I was happy with my experience. The location was fairly convenient, though it's way on the north end of town and about a 20-minute walk to dining spots near the center of town. My room was good-sized, with large windows. There was a desk counter with chair plus a comfy chair in the room, and the TV was large, with a good channel selection. There was a separate vanity from the bathroom area (shower only, which was fine for me), plus a mini-fridge (though it didn't include a freezer compartment), microwave, coffeemaker, iron and board, and hairdryer. The bed was comfortable for me - not too soft. The weather was warm enough for me to use the A/C, which was quiet though not that effective - I had to open the window and door in the evening to cool off the room. Like a number of motels, the wifi was pretty good at times when fewer people were probably using it (like early morning) but just ok during the evening, though the regular cell service I was able to get there was fine. My room was pretty quiet at night. The included breakfast options were fairly standard but fine for me - coffee, tea, juice, cereal, mini-muffins, bagels, toaster waffles, hardboiled eggs. My room appeared to be clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and efficient and I felt it was a good value - I'd certainly consider staying at the Vagabond Inn again.

We've stayed here twice while driving from San Diego. No frills economy hotel. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lacking, in my opinion. No protein offered except peanut butter. We've stayed here twice while driving from San Diego. No frills economy hotel. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lacking, in my opinion. No protein offered except peanut butter. Bagels, toaster French toast and waffles, cereal. Poor selection of fruit. Positive is there's a Starbucks in walking distance. No complaints.
