During my recent stay at the Marriott, I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service from one of your employees, Kaylee. From the moment I arrived, Kaylee went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Upon check-in, Kaylee greeted me with a warm smile and swiftly handled the process, making me feel welcome. She took the time to explain the hotel's amenities and offered personalized recommendations for dining and activities in the area. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the local attractions were impressive and greatly appreciated. Additionally, Kaylee was always available to assist with any requests, whether it was arranging transportation, providing extra amenities, or simply offering a friendly conversation. Her professionalism and genuine care for guests were evident in every interaction. Kaylee's dedication to creating a positive guest experience truly sets her apart. “Designer disaster with head and trip hazards. Not for the faint hearted”

A travel agent suggested this hotel assuring me it was lovely. What I walked into looked like something that had been decorated by a collective on crack. Giant plastic horses and gorillas with chandeliers on their heads. Big black carpets overlapping like at a Formula One event in the foyer. Red, black, gilt and mirrors. Over the top in an unsettling way for someone used to luxury hotels at this price point ($650) being elegant. The (self) walk to the room was an apricot mess with renaissance images back lit next to each room. Lettering on walls all uneven. Carpet rippled and a trip hazard. The room had a giant lamp over the one desk/table that was so low and large and heavy. I hit my head on it three times until I resorted to moving the table. Stayed one night and could not wait to check out. Shabby cane furniture was fraying at the entrance to the pool area. Then the pool area was under renovations with giant black chandeliers being fitted. The entrance to the hotel was a similar mish mash of strange, old items that should be in a Skip arranged possibly by staff that have no clue about design. Foyer was so dark and uninviting I did not look at the breakfast area housed in a corner of it. Apparently it used to be a Philippe Starck hotel until new Middle Eastern owners bought it out. Stay at the Sofitel if you need to be near La Cienaga and the design precinct. Or the Peninsula.
