I stayed at this hotel during my recent stay in Washington DC and I must say I was blown away by the service and attention to detail by the staff. I was welcomed gracefully by the receptionist and even offered a glass of wine which was awesome. The front office manager Chanda is the best. She went out of her way to make me feel so welcome and ensured that my room was cleaned on time when I requested. I enjoyed every single day I stayed at the hotel which is within walking distance to Bathesda and many lovely restaurants. Managed to walk every morning for the whole week I spent at the hotel. I loved the pool which was mostly empty when I visited and loved swimming on my own. The gym is also well equipped and kept clean. I had one meal in the dinning and it was just average. The housekeeping staff however were very polite and undoubtedly, this is one hotel I’ll be returning to whenever am in Washington DC.

Extremely friendly staff. Rooms are average, showing a bit of age. Beds a little softer than I like, and the pillows not very supportive of head and neck. Bathroom a good size with good lighting. Shower heated quickly (on 10th floor) with average water pressure. This hotel was very busy as we were in town to move our son to college. One of the three elevators was out of order, which made for longer waits and crowded elevators. (Another guest mentioned that elevator had been out of order when they'd visited in April, too, so...) People were noisy in the hallways, and there isn't much of a view--a smallish window with curtains across the whole wall to make it look like there are more windows than there really are. Also, not really close to restaurants short of taking an ~ 10 minute ride share. And while the cafe at the hotel was nice, it had a limited menu and limited hours, plus the "marketplace" did not have a lot of food choices. Overall, this was fine, but I would choose maybe to stay somewhere closer (walking distance) to food and shopping and cut down on ride share costs. Then again, the cost to stay here is lower, so it may even out.
