“Best car valet svc!!”

Great hotel but the valet car service was excellent!! Room was spacious, housekeeping excellent too! Źźzzzzzz z, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Very solid hotel. Comfy beds and really nice pillows. Lots of space. Cleaned every other day. Staff at breakfast was amazing and friendly. Skip the fine looking hotel bar and walk around the corner to Peter’s Pour House or Water St Tavern instead.

The driveway is small and tight and sometimes chaotic. But at least gets you off the main busy street but the grace is the staff of the hotel’s Valet. (and in my particular case, Nija). Each and everyone of them I met was polite, courteous, responsive, and just really, really nice. When I arrived to check in, there were cars parked along the driveway traffic outside of it was crazy. I pulled in and immediately had other cars trying to pull out to get out. Basically none of us could go anywhere. If you had removed my car, it would’ve unplugged the bottleneck, but I was the only one arriving and trying to go into the hotel. At first, I didn’t see the valet so I started getting a little anxious and was waiting for shouts or horns. Then Nija appeared. I scampered over to her to give her my key and she kept walking calmly greeted me pleasantly and patiently started taking my information. She obviously saw everybody else in the scene erupting around her so she wasn’t moving slow, but somehow she was just moving calmly, If you can picture what that looks like. Someone must’ve asked her how long this is gonna take because I saw her turn to one of the cars smile and look at him and say about 3 to 5 minutes now that was definitely an over estimation, but she wasn’t bothered nor hurried by the other drivers rising anxiety. But her reaction not only calmed me and made me smile, but I think it kept a lid on everybody else. And by overestimating the time it was gonna take people were obviously delighted when it didn’t take that long and not angered when it took longer than it had been stated. Well done, Nija. I never write these reviews and if I was tempted to write one normally because I was angry about something. But two days later after that 3 to 4 minutes, I still smile about i, think about it and thought I should share it. I talked to Nija as I left because I’m sure she had no idea that the small and quick encounter had impacted me at all and she told me that yes it’s small and yes it’s chaotic but she always tries to remember that everybody she’s interacting with is a human. We have our problems and we have our time pressures and our impatience. So the best thing that she can do is remain calm regardless, Hoping that will keep everyone else calm versus their Anxiety Stressing everyone the F out! Nice hotel. Everyone was genuinely nice and pleasant. I hope they’re working Environment is just as congenial as it appears from the outside. If it is, there’s some boss in that place that deserves a whole Lotta praise.
