Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor

“Great experience”

Much better than I expected. A higher class hotel. Elevator view of the city is great. I paid extra for high floor facing harbor and it dad worth it. Watching sunrise out the big glass windows was beautiful. Mobile check in did not work but they checked me in quickly even with the line.

My experience here was better than expected in part because I read a lot of average reviews. Staff here was incredibly friendly and helpful. Big compliments to the staff member who makes the lemonade in the lobby- one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. Hotel could use an update but it doesn't feel overly dated. Biggest issue with the rooms is the floor to ceiling windows aren't doing a good job insulating meaning the room is very cold. If you stand next to them it feels like an immediate 10 degree drop. Besides that the rooms are nice. The TV is big and works very easily to connect to your phone for streaming. Location is also a huge plus and the conference facilities are nice. Now my only red flag to travelers- note the parking garage has a strict 3pm checkout for self park and I think 2pm for valet. After that you get charged like a public person parking there which means an immediate $15 extra for the first hour on top of the $35 or $42 you paid overnight. I didn't do all the math but if you stayed until dinner you might pay the equivalent of two overnight parking stays. This isn't made clear ahead of time (it is posted on the parking paper you get at check-in) so if you are planning a full day in Baltimore the day you checkout it might be worth reconsidering whether this is the best hotel for your needs. If you are out by 2, then no worries.

Convenient location for Inner harbor and CFG arena Another hotel on our trip chosen for location - 1 night for CFG arena concert, and quick visit to the inner harbor , a pleasant stroll right outside front door around the clean modern harbor and aquarium Taxi to/from amtrak station was quick, easy and cheap. Everything was fine but rather forgettable, felt like an 4 star hotel with spacious comfortable room. No regrets booking but didnt scratch surface of amenities i think. Restaurant was convenient but uninspiring for breakfast Service was good , helpful front desk staff giving run down of area, dinner choices, harbor attractions and walking route to arena. Solid choice and very happy with convenient location. No regrets on choice.
