“Kudos to GM Charmin”

This is a very well-run hotel, just across the street from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. I have to give credit for this to GM Charmin Williams. She is amazingly helpful, positive, upbeat, and her great attitude has obviously been adopted by her staff. I highly recommend this establishment.

After a family member was admitted to University Maryland Medical Center late at night, we needed a place to stay within close proximity of UMMC. On 2-15-24, we walked in seeing if there were any available rooms night. The gentleman at the front desk was such a nice person, and very accommodating and very caring about the situation we were in. The hotel had a UMMC discount rate with patients in the hospital. We stayed on the fifth floor, which was very nice and quiet. The room was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable. We could’ve not been more pleased with the check in process and the room cleanliness. The hotel only has valet parking the gentleman was very nice. Also upon checking in there was a homeless person sleeping in the doorway which the staff quickly moved on. After a wonderful night sleep, we thought we were going to need the room for another night and again the front desk clerk was very accommodated. The only negative thing about the hotel was the continental breakfast in the morning. I don’t think it’s up to the standard of the Hampton Inn, and other Hamptons we have stayed. If you have the unfortunate circumstance of having a family member in university of Maryland, Medical Center, this is the hotel to stay at due to a close proximity. The Medical Center has a shuttle bus that could take you back and forth at night, again during the day it is fine. The front desk clerk for check-in and check out, made the experience top-notch. He was such a caring man about our situation. When we were getting ready to leave the valet parking attendant was also very helpful with directions and suggestions. The hotel was a couple block walk from UMMC which was fine during the daylight hours. I would not recommend it at night.

“Great location if you are going to see the O's at Camden Yards. ”

We normally stay here when we come up every year to see our O's play since it's an easy walk across the street to Camden Yards. We stayed this past week when the Nats were in town. We normally stay here when we come up every year to see our O's play since it's an easy walk across the street to Camden Yards. We stayed this past week when the Nats were in town. Something different this year is the Valet service has been outsourced. No longer does the Hampton Inn handle/bill you. You request your vehicle and pay for your parking by your mobile phone ($45/day). Our corner room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Everything in our room worked properly ( A/C, floor ice machine, mini fridge, shower, TV, commode). We recommend requesting extra towels and water bottles at check in, as they were lacking in our room. The staff we encountered were friendly and engaging, except the front desk when we checked in. The guy at the front desk seemed more interested in conversations with fellow employee and on phone then greeting us, which is not the norm. The other two counter employees we interacted with during our stay were quite pleasant. The woman working the lounge area was very friendly and did an outstanding job maintaining the food area, keeping everything well stocked and tidy. She was a joy to greet each morning. A shout out to her for her impeccable service and professionalism. We had a very good time during our stay and will continue to book here when we are attending O's games in the future. We recommend.

We went down to Baltimore for a baseball game. This hotel was EXTREMELY convenient if you are going to a game. It is LITERALLY right across the street from the ballpark. You can see the ballpark from the room windows. The lady at the front desk (her name begins with a C) was very very nice and friendly. Anything we needed, she got it for us with a smile on her face. Hotel came with breakfast: make your own waffles, apples&bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, potatoes, sausage, toast, and bagels plus juice and coffee. The only CON I would say is: if you are going down on a game day and NOT going to the game or like baseball, this can be a very busy place as there is an outside tailgate next to the hotel and it gets VERY loud and crowded.
