“A terrific long stay.”
We spent a terrific 28 days in this suites hotel. The reception staff of Muge, Amber, and Matthew were amazingly friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. We spent a terrific 28 days in this suites hotel. The reception staff of Muge, Amber, and Matthew were amazingly friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. Unlimited free coffee, free laundry, and the most comfortable beds we’ve ever had in a hotel made for an exceptional stay. The location of the hotel between the Arboretum (walking distance) and The Domain (a very short drive) made it extremely convenient for finding good restaurants and fun activities. We will happily return again in the future.

We came here just before midnight after fleeing another hotel at the same price point. This place was an absolute delight! Coming here was the best decision I've made in a long time. Friendly staff, beautiful, clean room and reception area, and the only noise we heard was the occasional door closing from the halls in the late morning. The location was great and we got to check out the Domain area. We felt safe, and the little kitchenette area came in very handy for our 4-night stay. Plus, this location has a pool, gym, AND laundry. We didn't pack gym gear since our original hotel didn't have a gym, but I thought those were some great touches, especially for how affordable this place is. Also, the water pressure from the shower felt like a massage, and the in-room coffee was actually really good! I will keep Sonesta in mind for future travels. Thank you for rescuing us from our nightmare hotel - honestly Sonesta saved our vacation 🙌 ❤️.

“In perfect condition and no problems considering Covid”

Candlewood is a brand I hardly know because they are young. They claim to be an all suite brand, but I'd call it more like extra big rooms with extended stay amenities. That's not what I'd call a suite. It's hard to get a feel for the property with Covid-19 shutting everything down. There was nothing wrong with my stay. Unlike some other brands they let me sit on the couch in the lobby while waiting. The hostess who checked me in was a sure winner, and cheerful. She told me they'd have coffee in the morning but no breakfast. I couldn't find a soul anywhere much less any food or drink. We left with nobody at the desk. The room was in perfect condition. Everything that is supposed to be there was, and in good shape. I was attracted to their lend an appliance offer where they don't keep small electric appliances in every room and you can borrow what you need from the desk. Well, that is, if Covid-19 wasn't going on. They are barely operating while all of us run from this virus.. I was out there strictly due to price, and my points. It's inconvenient to downtown or the university, but what I got for my money was outstanding. They don't charge for parking and the area doesn't leave one feeling like their car's safety is in jeopardy. I like this place and I'd be back except that they are re-branding in only a few weeks. That implies they won't be an IHG hotel any longer, and they didn't know what the future holds. The property and rooms are plenty good enough and I can't say a negative word about that. It was a very good value and I was pleased with it.
