I had made reservations at a different hotel nearby and upon arriving both my wife and I were grossed out with the state of the hotel and really grossed out with the smell of the room. we quickly looked for an alternate hotel and came upon the Hyatt, from the moment we walked in we were greeted by their friendly staff and were checked in quickly. We were given complimentary bottled water and a chocolate bar and were truly glad when we walked into the room and it was clean and and welcoming.

“Great Stay in Colorado”

Clean and comfortable room and friendly staff. I was greeted as a World of Hyatt Discoverist which made me feel welcome. Quiet and cozy. Nice to have breakfast in the morning to include cooked items. Couldn't ask for more.

By most measurements, this is a very nice place to stay. The staff is quite friendly and eager to help in any way possible. The rooms are expansive, clean, comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped. The location is within waking distance of many dining options. There is shopping nearby. Interstates 25 and 470 are very close, so you can be on your way quickly. A couple of things dropped my overall rating and have kept me from booking this hotel more frequently (I make 6-10 trips to this area per year). First is the parking fee. It is one of those hidden charges when you book a hotel that always makes me want to book elsewhere. I understand parking fees in downtown, urban areas in which parking is scarce. There is ample parking here and the fee is simply an uncharge the hotel has chosen to sneak in. Second thing was more concerning. During my last stay at this hotel I stayed for two nights. I arrived late (delayed flight). While going to my room, I encountered a young girl (teenage) lying on the hallway floor at the end of the hall near the heater. I placed my luggage in my room and went out to ask her if everything was okay. She said she had made a phone call and was waiting for a call back. On the second night of my stay, I returned to my room from an outing and I noted that there was a tumbler sitting on the heater where the girl had been the night before. I had a very early flight out, so I just went to bed. I left the next morning at 4:00 am...the same girl was now sleeping on the floor next to the heater. I told the woman at the front desk about what I had seen as I checked out. She claimed to be totally unaware of the situation and did not seem overly concerned. My concern was not that the girl was there. My concern was that she had been there for multiple nights and the hotel staff was had no idea. In a time in which most hotels train their staff to look for signs of trafficking and such...this hotel was woefully inadequate in their due diligence.

“Overall good”

The hotel itself was great and the location was amazing. However the parking fee is ridiculous I could understand if I was leaving a vehicle but as a guest at the hotel, parking should be free.
