Very nice location, friendly staff. Some of the rooms are a little dated and old. We were fortunate enough to get a nice suite in the Havana Tower. Good, clean room. Very nice location, friendly staff. Some of the rooms are a little dated and old. We were fortunate enough to get a nice suite in the Havana Tower. Good, clean room. The food options here are just awesome with some great restaurants on the Quarter which is very nice with higher end shopping also. Gaming areas are quite large with a good variety of choices for your budget. The Boardwalk is nice but has its share of the usual people who ask for money, etc.

I paid for a suite in the Haven Tower ($300.00). The suite was very very nice. The furniture was dated but suite over all was nice. Tall entry door, bathroom in hallway, TV and wet bar in living room, closet space in both the hall and bedroom, French doors separating living area from bedroom, very very spacious. The bathroom was ok, nothing fancy at all. PROBLEM: NO HEAT. I contacted the front desk, only 1 maintenance guy was working, it took what seemed like forever to come, so I took a trip to the front dress area told them the issues, while they were trying to find another room, the maintenance guy showed up and said no heat do to boiler problem. Front desk moved us to the suite below in the Havana Tower, similar set up, however there was NO HEAT in that suite either, so I went back to the front desk, the said they could give me a suite in the North Tower and they, I should have never been assigned the suites on the corner Havana side because they had problems all ready and knew there was not heat and hot water. DO BETTER TROPICANA. We arrived at the North Tower-I felt like I stepped back in time to the 60’s. The halls are very dark and dated. It was a longer walk to my car.. A big mess. I was old that the suite in North Tower was an upgraded suite, THAT WAS A LIE! The suite was more dated than Havana, everything in the suite was old and dated. Huge wall separating the living room and bedroom, not view, PERK-2 FULL BATHROOMS, no wet bar, bed didn’t fit the frame box it was on. We felt closed in like we were in a basement or dungeon. I love Tropicana because of all the stores and restaurants in the main floor, but the rooms are not good at all. I am so annoyed but I loved the suite in the Havana Tower and to not be able to stay there was heartbreaking beside the money paid for the suite which North Tower doesn’t not compete with. Tropicana’s resorts fees are expensive as well. Tropicana needs to give me a suite comp for the Havana Tower. I am greatly disappointed.
