Close to all the downtown attractions!!! BLAIRE at the front desk is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and among other traits...GORGEOUS/ATTRACTIVE. Parking is gated so no hoodlums/weirdos to be concerned with. LOVE the property and will book again shortly. James

“Friendly staff but many mishaps during the stay”

There are many parts of my stay that could’ve been improved. For example, house keeping skipped my room 2 days in a row. The phone in my room is broken so I can’t reach the front desk easily. And one of the elevators broke, make going up and down difficult too. Nonetheless, the staff there were friendly. Ogwa from the front desk went above and beyond to help me when the problems arose. The manager was also helpful when I brought up the problems as I was checking out.

“Aloft isn't what it used to be”

This hotel is very average. The 3 stars are mainly for location. This hotel is very average. The 3 stars are mainly for location. Great location near Peachtree Ctr, walking distance to everything central downtown Atlanta (ie/ Aquarium, Coca Cola, Centennial Olympic Park, etc). Another plus is that the beds are comfortable with lots of great pillows. The room, however, is pretty cheap looking... It reminded me of a Model 6. The TV is small. I was surprised that there were no drawers, absolutely no drawers, to store your clothes, if desired. There are only shelves, like bookcase shelves. So you could only really pile up your clothes on the shelves. Very strange. There is a small open cabinet with a few hangers to hang clothing with a cheap cloth curtain, that looks like an old shower curtain. The bathroom is basic with glass door shower with 3 big bottles (bath gel, conditioner, shampoo) on the wall. The temperature & water pressure is good. The bathroom sink space is good & there's a small refrigerator underneath. Other than that, the major downfall of this hotel was that there was only 1 elevator working! .. from my 1st walk to the elevator, after getting my key from the front desk, I was already waiting for the elevator with 7 people. One of the guys was saying (joking), "I think I've spent more time during my trip waiting in front of this elevator than anything else." Then I realized day-to-day how horrible this issue was... at some points, I ended up waiting over 20m for the elevator. Many times I'd have to leave for the stairs.. but what a pain to come from walking all day in Atlanta to my hotel & have to trek up 4 flights of stairs, all sweaty & exhausted, to my hotel room. I kept thinking, I'm paying nearly $1,000 for this hotel stay & this is what I have to deal with. What amazes me is that my stay was 5 days, & at no point was the broken elevator ever being serviced. It's been a week since my trip & is be willing to bet that the elevator is still broken. It's sad to see what Aloft has become. I remember staying at an Aloft in Boston about 15yrs ago & it was so modern & great! I'm hoping they read this so they can improve.
