Not a bad property. But beware, when you sign your parking pass, double check your dates on the parking pass! Several people had complained that their car had been towed. When I looked at our parking pass after 2 days, I noticed that the parking pass had expired that day even though we weren't checking out until the following day. It makes you wonder if there is some relationship between the towing company and a staff member. The beds were comfortable and the linens were great. Just your average Choice breakfast with way too many carbs for our liking. I was overcharged and it took a week and a half to get someone to take care of it. Would we stay again? Maybe. But now we know what to look for.

“A Decent Value”

Location near I395 outside DC (Lyft rides to DC attractions averaged about $15 each way); room was basic, clean, but a bit dated; free parking; refrigerator worked; TV channels were numerous, but basic. Location near I395 outside DC (Lyft rides to DC attractions averaged about $15 each way); room was basic, clean, but a bit dated; free parking; refrigerator worked; TV channels were numerous, but basic. Breakfast was average, but room was too small to accommodate us two of three days. Asked for housekeeping twice; once the room was made up, other time not. On day of departure, housekeeper opened door without knocking and was surprised by half naked guy in towel exiting bathroom (as was he). Bottom line, a decent stay for the price.

What was good - comfortable bed, and for the most part, the hotel/room was clean. Though parking is limited, it is free. What was average - The hotel is old, so most of the fixtures are old, in the common areas as well as the rooms. The bathroom tub, shower, and fixtures are all very old and worn. The breakfast was ok, but limited for space, so you have to reach over others to prepare your plate and food. The floors in the common areas appear to never get mopped, as you hear everyone’s shoes sticking as they walk. The coffee was excellent, though. What was bad - This hotel is NOT in Pentagon City, in spite of its name. It is located just outside of Shirlington, several miles from Pentagon City, in a less-than-stellar area. To get to it, you have to drive through the parking lot of an old, very sketchy hotel. Checking in late at night should be avoided. Also, read the fine print - they’re going to put a $200 charge on your credit card, for incidentals. Depending on your bank, it might take 4-5 days AFTER checkout, to get that back. Overall, I will not stay here again. I had a last second family emergency that caused me to rush through looking at all my options. There are other, newer hotels, in better locations, in DC, for just a few dollars more per night.
