“Outstanding Stay”
My husband and I were in Ames for a wedding and to celebrate my/our birthday with my twin. The Gateway was near the wedding venue as well as the Iowa State campus. We had a wonderful stay. “Friendly, helpful staff!”
The price was great (even during a football weekend). All of the staff members we encountered were VERY polite, personable, and helpful (front desk, wake up call, cleaning staff, etc..). We will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at the Gateway when in town for a family funeral. We loved our king bed room and didn't have any problems with the sliding bathroom door. “Overnight stay”
This is a convention center so typically people are probably by themselves and then it’s probably a 4 rating. If you are staying with anyone please note there is no privacy in your room bathroom. “No house keeping”
No housekeeping services. 4 nights and they never made the bed. Never refreshed with new waters. I asked, got new towels when I complained but that’s it.
