“Exceptional Value”

I was very pleased with the value that this hotel offered. The rooms are nice sized, clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was also one of the cheapest hotels in the area. The staff was phenomenal!! Every encounter was positive. I expect to stay there again when visiting the Portage Lakes… more

I am absolutely blown away. . This property is run like a professional., warm and welcoming, guest focused military. Major attention to detail with operations, cleanliness, and upkeep of the hotel… the customer service makes it like the Chick-fil-A of Choice hotels. I was a platinum member with Radisson up until choice acquired them and now I’m diamond with choice. I’m also 2 nights away from Diamond with Hilton. I have high standards , but my experience at the Comfort Inn and Suites South Akron blows the experiences I’ve ever had at Hilton property’s out of the water..One of the best things this property has going for it is that they have Mrs Shirley as the face of the property when guest walk in . She is genuine, professional, polished, and friendly . Any business would be so lucky to have her on their team . I’ve stayed a lot of properties, and I notice all of the small things. There was nothing in my room that I could find that was out of place, not cleaned properly, or not in working order. Push aside any experience that you’ve had had a comfort inn and give this property a chance. You’ll be glad you did. Way to go south Akron team.!

Solid hotel. Clean. Fair Price. However, no housekeeping service. Breakfast was okay and better than some. There is construction on the third and I think the second floor as well. Solid hotel. Clean. Fair Price. However, no housekeeping service. Breakfast was okay and better than some. There is construction on the third and I think the second floor as well. It did not bother me, but they have a sign up on the elevator that it does not operate to the third floor, but it does and i would not have been happy lugging my suitcase. It was also "weird" to take the elevator to the third floor and when the doors open there are construction workers working right in front of the elevators. They were very nice but it felt awkward. Fitness Center is workable; I am not sure the incline worked on the treadmill but I got my workout in.
