This hotel was nice. The room was a nice size. My biggest complaint, however, was about the bathroom. It was old and had a shower curtain and tub in it. The highlight of this property was actually the fact that it was attached to the Galleria mall which was great for some light entertainment on a day that was over 100°. It also had some food options for lunch, which was nice. The housekeeping was very good at this property. Ingrid didn’t excellent job servicing my room. Shauna in the lounge was also very helpful and accommodating. This concierge lounge ran out of food early in the evening during the midweek nights. I think if the hotel is full, this should be gauged a bit better to accommodate all of the guests using the lounge. Also, there should be some sweet treats served later in the evening. There was one tray of cookies put out with the food and it disappeared very quickly on the two nights that I wanted something sweet. It also took several days for accounting to get back to me regarding my bill. If in this area again, I would stay here. It was a really great for a big conference.

Front Desk staff were not friendly and they don't know customer service. Management are arrogant and challangeing guests. Location is excellent, and it would be very nice if the give the front desk and management classes in how to treat the guests

This hotel is barely hanging on, but does so because of it's popular location - connected to a major mall. The staff is a mix of rude front desk people to some super nice rock stars - you never know who you're going to get. The elevators are barely working, half of the lights are burned out - they often break down completely and you may get stuck in one, or on a bad day they shut them all down and use the two service elevators which means it could take 10-15 minutes to get to your room while you wait in a line. Half of the phones don't work in the rooms. They recently upgraded their linens which was long overdue, so that's great. Housekeeping does not care if they open the door on you even if you have a DND/privacy sign up - they seem to enjoy it because this problem has persisted since before Covid. They won't let deliveries into the elevators - even during the "safe" daytime hours (this is not a dangerous area) - and won't even call you if you have a delivery like food or a business item - I have no idea why they even bother with a concierge desk - and won't bring up your items - which can be a pain if you do business here. If you are a platinum member and can access the Marriott "m-lounge", they have one of the sweeties nicest humans on earth - Lilyana - working in the mornings, preparing breakfast. I wish the rest of the staff was just like her. The evening lady is very nice too, but the front desk is a total gamble.
