A luxurious hotel which had seen better days. Great location and spacious rooms with a typical mediocre Uruguayan breakfast. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and you can see and hear the ocean from almost any spot. We spent there a single night and since we were celebrating our honeymoon we for a bottle of champagne on the house which was really nice. The overall experience was enjoyable.

The staff at the hotel are very friendly. They answer and solve every request promptly. The breakfast is good. Lots of different fruit and cakes. The staff at the hotel are very friendly. They answer and solve every request promptly. The breakfast is good. Lots of different fruit and cakes. They provide chairs and sun umbrellas as well as towels for the beach. It has an indoor pool, small but comfortable, specially after 8 pm when all the kids leave. The room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is old and taps do not work very well. The hot one in the shower was very difficult to open and close and the kids burnt a couple of times. Also they leaked and the dripping was kind of annoying in the silence of the night.

The maintenance is non existent, paint in rooms and corridos is chipping off, the indoor pool is in poor condition, breakfast is not as good as it used to be, less fruit, poor quality in ham and cheese. Really sad because it used to be really good.

A dated, simple property that seems like a 1970s style Miami Beach motel. Good enough for a quick night or two. Location is very good for beach and dining options. Plumbing is corroded and only minimally functional. Noise in rooms facing the street is terrible. Gym and spa in basement have very unpleasant musty smell and no natural light. Staff is very well-intended but has only so much to work with. Breakfast is mediocre, at best.

1) Excellent location: close to surf beach, next door market, next door surf shop; 2) Outdoor pool is not heated, so cold no one uses it more than a few minutes, really should upgrade to solar-panel heated or something, this shortcoming really drops this otherwise excellent resort down to no better than average; 3) Nice rooms with convenient alcove to set up one's computer; 4) Good WiFi access; 5) Good selection of TV channels for movies and entertainment; 6) Neglected ball/tennis court, needs to replace net badly; 7) Good breakfast included; 8) Friendly front desk people but they do not provide a list of recommended restaurants and do not seem very knowledgeable in that regard; 9) Part of a big timeshare system, with the positives and negatives that entails. Conclusion: Could be nicer, search for a place with an outdoor, rather than indoor, heated pool if having an outdoor pool to actually use is a priority for you.
