This is our 2nd visit within 2 months this time we stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the golf course it was lovely We went for lunch in the clubhouse it was gorgeous, then we used the spa facilities we had the one night stay, 3 course evening meal and Breakfast I booked direct with the hotel and we had 2 vouchers for complimentary drinks on arrival all the staff are very friendly/helpful I would highly recommend this place The only few things that could do with abit of improving is the evening meal was very slow service, I put that down to lack of staff as the 2 girls were rushing around I felt sorry for them as quite a few people moaning re: waiting times/food Our 3 course meal was lovely and we weren’t in no rush so just had a few drinks The only other thing was I found the swimming cold (but I do like a nice heated pool) I would 100% return as only live 30 minutes away and this place is so relaxing 😊

“Gluten free available”

Nice hotel, great pool and health suite! Gluten free options available in the restaurant, had a gluten free burger and this fish cake! Sky sports for the football in the bar area.WiFi is good for working, good stay. Lovely grounds at the hotel

“WiFi made stay terrible”

The hotel was lovely rooms clean housekeeping lass lovely the only let down was the WiFi witch made our little break awful it was a no cash hotel so of course the tills were down the tv was awful the staff were stressed because the guests was moaning about taking payment for there food or drinks ... more

The hotel was lovely rooms clean housekeeping lass lovely the only let down was the WiFi witch made our little break awful it was a no cash hotel so of course the tills were down the tv was awful the staff were stressed because the guests was moaning about taking payment for there food or drinks at times the card machine didn't work witch wasn't our fault so I was getting anxious if I was going to be able to get a meal I'm a diabetic and I didn't need the stress the whole 4 days we were there it was playing up I did feel sorry for the staff it wasn't there fault but it should of been sorted so really apart from my anxiety about the tills card machines it was ok I'm gutted as it was our first break away but I hope they have sorted it out now 😀 the room 230 was lovely 😍 food was nice in the clubhouse a little pricey spa was lush kat..

Nice hotel but needs to pay attention to detail. If you want to use the EV chargers a charger lead is needed along with downloading an app. A plug and pay system would be much better. The room was very comfortable. We had to go back to reception to change the entry cards as the original ones ... more

The room was very comfortable. We had to go back to reception to change the entry cards as the original ones had not been coded correctly. The bar/restaurant was OK but rather lacked atmosphere. Whilst we were eating people dressed in vests and shorts were continually walking through the area to get to/from the spa. The food was very disappointing. The menu made a big thing about the Scottish butcher who supplied the steak, unfortunately mine was so tough I could not eat it. A fellow diner had exactly the same problem with his. The soup was rather insipid and the desert was probably past its best by date. The food from the very attractive breakfast menu displayed on the tables was not available until 10 am. The included breakfast was self serve from a hot buffet. My wife wanted the avocado on toast but we were told that it was not available until after 10 am. The pepper mill on our table was empty, no table napkins were provided with the breakfast. It is a great shame because a few issues kept cropping up during our stay. Management should look at simple things such as the cleaners blocking the corridor with trollies and equipment making it difficult for us to pass or staff standing around the bar area drinking coffee. On balance we probably would not stay at this hotel again.

We stayed in a lodge which was fabulous for space and for the kitchen facilities but it could use a lick of paint. Customer service was fantastic, location is great and we loved the bar area. However negative points were arriving in the rain to find our allocated parking used by other guests which the hotel staff said they would sort out but it only got fixed when the families checked out, and due to the rule about eight year olds needing to go into the swimming pool changing rooms alone my son was exposed to two men coming out of a closed shower cubicle together, then walking round the changing rooms naked, so he skipped his shower and waited in the corridor for me and his sister as he was scared. I’d have preferred a family changing room.
