“Good Hotel and Value”
frequent visitor here and you can tell that the staff have been trained to look after people the way they should be. Will visit again. Within walking distance of everything including the Railway station and Nightclubs shopping etc. helpful staff

“Xmas do!!!!!”
I have been to the Grand many times over the years. Always a great do. This year's Christmas party was no different. Food was hot, service good. We were a little fiesty. Hope you will have us back next year..., 😊...

“Booking Cancelled”
We booked the Mercure Hotel in February as a drop off point for 3 days break at Easter on route to the South from Durham so I could see the Space Centre, Richard 3 centre etc. we arrived to find the hotel closed and under renovation. I had cancelled my previous venue due to Covid but when I found out The Mercure Hotel was free on my wedding date, I couldn’t resist booking the venue. “Excellent customer service”
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Staff provided me with hot water for my coffee whilst I was doing my security training. Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel as it is very clean.
