“Tribute Night”

We attended the “80s & 90s” tribute night & it was amazing! We all had a great night. Especially seeing everyone dressed up! Will defiantly book on another tribute & Would recommend to anyone. £20 for a 2 course meal & entertainment? Really cannot complain

Another review & room tour of a Village Hotel. FOOD During our visit the only food we had at the hotel was breakfast. We were down for breakfast for around 9.00am & there was still plenty of food / everything was still warm. Compared to other big chain hotels PI, TL, HL etc the Village do the best from my experience. ROOMS For our stay at the Village Hotel Coventry we were assigned room 417. This is a Club room & is located at the end of corridor at the far side of the hotel. It is a walk to get to this room but I had asked for room somewhere quiet which this room certainly was. The room itself was lovely & spacious with lots of room, the bed was also very comfortable. One of the major problems you find with the rooms in older village hotels is the rooms are always a bit battered (scuffs on the walls, broken tables etc) however this room I couldn’t find any of these marks. However the dust in the room was quiet bad which is the only fault I could find with this room. Gym Out of all the Village Hotel Gyms I have been to during my time reviewing Village Hotels this was the best Village Gym I have been too! The gym is spread out over 3 different rooms which may sound a nightmare when in fact it makes the whole experience 10 times better & more efficient during the busier times. **** One of the only problems I found with my visit to the gym is the gym reception require your room key to hold if you want use one of there padlocks for the locker or would like a towel. I am just not overly comfortable with some random stranger knowing my room number & having my key to my room & them knowing I am not in my room for considerable time as I am in the Gym. I have mentioned this on other reviews of Village Hotels & the hotel chain still haven’t done anything to change it.*** Pool The pool at the village hotel Coventry is very clean, tidy & warm. The sauna & steam rooms could probably do with making bigger as during the adult only times they do get very busy / people are standing up inside & queuing up outside. I also feel the hotel could do with using some of the free space in the pool area to create a cold water / plunge pool area. Parking The hotel has lots of parking all around the hotel. Similar to most Village hotels the hotel isn’t overly on top of people parking in the disabled bays without disabled badges. Staff All the staff that I encountered were fantastic & helpful. Nobody really jump out for a mention by name but everyone I did encounter were great. Overall Overall the hotel was one of the better Village Hotels I have stayed at. If it wasn’t for the dust in the room, the room would of got a 8/10 instead with dust it brings it down to 5/10. The room key for a gym locker / towel is still a major safety concern for me & that brings the leisure side of the hotel from what would have been 8/10 to a 5/10. With these two issues in mind I would happily stay again but I would take my own padlock for the lockers & the towel from my room so I can keep my room key. A few side points - The area that they hold weddings looks massive & very well laid out ( the best I have seen at a Village Hotel). The seated foot football cage in the bar is also top draw & great perk to hotel / bar. (I am hoping this will be rolled out at other Village Hotels.

“As expected from Village not sure the room was worth the money”

Club room for 5 nights, good things were the hotel was very clean & tidy the staff were friendly, approachable & helpful. The bar and food were better than usual hotel quality as well. Downsides we were in the rooms in 500’s and the WiFi signal was really poor. Priced at £140 (including gym, pool & breakfast) per night I thought it was a bit expensive but was booked by company & not sure what the competition is around Coventry. The view from the room window was the factory unit next door which didn’t help with the poor light in the room.
