I've stayed together with my son at the Trinity in April 2018. Reading some of the older comments , I have to say that we didn't find anything that would still justify the complaints made here. The rooms were cosy yet modern, with amazingly comfortable, large beds, a small fridge, tea- and coffee-making equipment (electric kettle), and free internet-access (wifi). During our stay the breakfast-room was still renovated so no typical English breakfast for us, but I am sure that Anna, the really very nice and curteous landlady, will provide also a nice breaky when the room is finished. The en-suite bathroom in our room was clean and modern, the shower had enough pressure, towels were changed when left on the floor and the room-cleaning always happened while we were out, no matter how late we left for the day. From the outside, one has to say, the Trinity looks like nothing much, the front-yard was still overgrown with weed and the wall-paint could certainly use a refreshing. However, inside, the place is a typical, cosy English B&B, with the typical steep, red-carpeted stairs leading up to the first floor. The location first appeared to me as being a bit too far off the tracks, but once we found our way, it's actually just 20 min. to Oxford Circus. As a tipp: When you leave Blackhorse Road Station, turn immediately right, cross the street and walk the few metres "up" to the bus-station on your side of the road. You can take both bus-lines stopping there. The bus stops once before you have to get out (if someone presses the stop-signal). The ride takes no more than 4-5 min. Exit the bus at the next stop (when you look out of the bus-window to your left, you see the Trinity Hotel (sign) a few moments before the bus stops). Then walk the few metres back to the Hotel. To get to Blackhorse Road Station, just use the bus-stop almost directly opposite the Hotel. From Blackhorse Road Station the Tube (Victoria Line) takes about 15-20 min. to Oxford Circus. (By the way, when you come from Stansted Airport with the train, the station you need to get off is just one Victoria Line-stop away from Blackhorse Road Station). When you need to go shopping, turn left when leaving the Trinity. A 3 minutes walk gets you to the local area with supermarkets, shops, and some cafés. All in all we had a very good time at the Trinity and it was always nice to come home to it in the evenings. When we needed something, Anna was always just a phone-call or whatsapp away (there's no "concierge, but calling her was no problem). Considering the affordable price and what we got for it, I can only recommend the Trinity Hotel to everyone who wants a nice, clean, and cosy room for a fair price and who doesn't mind taking a 20-min Tube-ride to get right into the heart of London. Thumbs up, we'll be back!
