My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay in a junior suite. The check-in experience was excellent, welcoming, polite and informative. There was ample free parking in the hotel grounds once had looged our registration number. Our room was very generous in size, with quality fixtures and fittings along with fresh decor. We had spectacular sea views across the bay to Brixham, with the only (minor) irritation being a little scafolding outside our windows where renovations to the balustrades are underway - there was a warning that scaffolding was in place during the booking process and it didn't restrict the glorious views. We were blessed with fabulous weather with bright sunshine, so the room did get rather warm, but the area is entirely peaceful at night so we just opened one of the sash windows to let some night air in. Our package included breakfast and there was a very good selection of hot options - the 'Full English' and Frittata were very good, with quality ingredients and full of flavour. The Continental selection was a bit underwhelming - no cheeses or cold meats and the Orange juice was dire - I thought it was squash at first. If a better continental buffet and better quality juice had been served my overall score would have been 5 stars. We also ate dinner in the hotel on two evenings - the fish and chips was superb and I ate it both times, with my fussy wife also choosing it the second time and eating every bit. I felt the menu could have done with a couple more main options or perhaps some daily specials, but all of the food was of excellent quality, well presented and reasonably priced. The waiting staff were excellent - attentive without being intrusive. Overall a very pleasant mini break and would certainly commend The Osborne - a stylish Regency hotel in a lovely location

Couldn't do enough to help. Daughter and son in-laws after wedding party. We had an amazing time. The planner was amazing Heidi ?. The venue and food, all the staff were great. Couldn't do enough to help. Daughter and son in-laws after wedding party. We had an amazing time. The planner was amazing Heidi ?. The venue and food, all the staff were great. We had family from Derbyshire and Liverpool stay. Some from Torquay also stayed over. The restaurant wasn't quite organised at breakfast. Slow service but the food was lovely. All in all we were all pleased and we had a fabulous time.

“Never again”

I had the junior suite called PALK, the bathroom was very modern, the settee was badly marked and very soft that when one sits on it one tends to sink. I had the junior suite called PALK, the bathroom was very modern, the settee was badly marked and very soft that when one sits on it one tends to sink. The wallpaper all around the room and in many places is coming away from the wall. The lack of Concierge in a 4 star hotel, is noticeable. The young waiter wasn't happy when I ordered two coffees, even having written the order down he got it wrong, using his fingers he took two chocolate truffles out of the sugar bowl, needless to say we didn't eat them. The Restaurant Manager looked a mess, as if he'd slept in his suit again not what you expect to find in a four star hotel. I had invited 2 friends to join me for Dinner, the food was good. I personally wouldn't stay there again
