This is a special mention to Emily Jones and Ana, who work within the events team at Hogs Back. My partner and I recently got engaged and were looking to host an engagement party. We were looking at lots of different places but Hogs Back really stood out to us with its beautiful grounds and fantastic events team. We had quite complex requirements and I must’ve emailed Emily 4 times a day but she was always so happy to respond and extremely helpful along with her colleague Ana who showed us around the hotel. It really felt like nothing was too much trouble. We did not end up hosting our event here but that was purely down to geographical issues with family and friends, otherwise it would have been first choice. I really cannot recommend Hogs Back hotel enough, thank you!

“Excellent Hotel”

Highly recommended hotel, food and accommodation is excellent. The service is superb, staff can’t do enough for guests. I have used the hotel before and everything remains at the highest standard. “Good clean hotel would well worth a visit and will stay again”

Lovely clean well presented hotel Staff are enthusiastic and very friendly nothing is too much trouble. Some road noise can be heard but there are quieter areas at the back of the hotel. Lovely clean well presented hotel Staff are enthusiastic and very friendly nothing is too much trouble. Some road noise can be heard but there are quieter areas at the back of the hotel. There is no lift The rooms are good . with tea coffee facilities even included decaf tea as well as coffee. hairdryer.iron and board and a fan . The beds are comfortable The bathrooms have all soaps and shampoo provided and these are nice and pleasant smelling The linen was soft and fluffy. There is no AC this was not a problem even though when we stayed temperatures were 21 farenheit we opened the window and used a fan. There is no daily housekeeping but if this is required you can ask. The restaurant served breakfast and dinner. We only had breakfast which was good buffet with a wide selection . Although the bacon was a bit of a let down as it was dried out and leathery. My husband has a GF diet and this was no trouble and was catered for. The pool and spa is good size although if you have walking difficulties this could be a problem as access to the pool area was down some steep steps. I enquired as to how a disabled person could use the facilities and was told access is from outside. Whilst there is an accessible shower and toilet on the pool level there is no changing facilities. The pool has steps down into it. The spa bath has 1 large step up 16 inches to get in and another 2 steep steps to sit down. Each step about 16 inches which I had difficulties with. The sauna has a small step into it . The steam room is on a level. The children's pool has no steps leading into it and I found it difficult to enter this area. As it's a large step down into it. About 24 inches and there are no hand rails. Overall we had an enjoyable stay here and would stay again.
