Location: Housed in a 19th century castle surrounded by wonderful parkland, this hotel has retained much of its original charm from the time when it was the home of the Campbell clan. There is a fabulous restaurant to take advantage of, which offers wonderful views out over the Kintyre Peninsula and Loch Fyne from its position high above the village of Tarbert. Links to the public transport system are to be found some 3 km away.
Meals: Dining facilities include a dining room, a café and a bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Half board is offered as a catering option. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. “A magical place!”
Have been going to the Stonefield Hotel for many years now. A magical place and setting, staff always helpful and friendly. Food choices very good, suit different budgets and tastes, beautiful dining room overlooking the loch. And Tarbet nearby is a lovely wee fishing village!

“A fabulous stay”
Loved our three night stay here. Welcoming and friendly staff. Spacious room with stunning views. The food in the restaurant was great and beautifully presented. Weather was a bit damp so decided against doing the walks round the grounds. Thankyou to all

Lovely old castle hotel but is very tired and in need of upgrading.
