Very good, specially the staff all really pleasant the people at the reception even though in tough crowd had smiles on their faces only thing would be have more staff on reception in the morning. Stayed 1 night spacious rooms big and the luggage trolley free to use unlike Paris was really good. Good breakfast also and the bar and lobby are quite nice

We found the staff at the hotel to be excellent at virtually every point, including (but not limited to) duty managers Morita and Libin; front desk staffers Lewis and Nicole; housekeeping manager Theresa; and bar staff Rowan and Freya. All were extremely cordial, responsive and helpful. The staff members truly make this hotel stand out. We also enjoyed our executive room, with amenities that included a minifridge/minibar with complimentary water, soda, candy and cookies, and vouchers for complimentary drinks from the bar (try the nonalcoholic Magners Irish Cider). The window in our room partially opened for fresh air, and we had a view of the beautiful park across the street, through which we walked on our way to visit attractions ranging from the SeaCity Museum to High Street for shopping and the history-rich Bargate. The hotel's location was perfect for us, as it was within about a 30-minute walk of attractions in all directions. We'd been worried about possible noise from the streets circling the hotel, but that turned out to not be an issue in our room. Because we arrived around 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning (due to early flight arrival in London), the reception area was filled to the brim with cruise-related guests checking out and awaiting transportation, but Lewis cheerfully stowed our luggage while we strolled through the park and the High Street area for a few hours, and our room was ready when we returned. We didn't experience big crowds any other days of our weeklong stay or during our own Sunday checkout to board a cruise. We had a wonderful stay at the Leonardo Hotel Southampton, and we will definitely stay here on future visits to Southampton.

I have stayed with friends a couple of times when attending events locally. When my husband and I were looking for somewhere to stay when our football team were playing away, I suggested this hotel. Our room was large and comfortable, with a decent sized bathroom. The public areas were airy and comfortable. The staff we interacted with were absolutely fine, not outstanding but pleasant enough. We didn’t eat in either the bar or breakfast, however both areas certainly seemed popular. There is no parking on site, however the nearest car park is only a short walk away and you can use the lay by outside to drop off luggage. You do take your life in your hands when trying to cross the road, use of the crossings are a must! We have not given 5 stars as we feel the hotel was over priced. I know that we are in the south of England, however, we have paid similar prices in the centre of London at far more luxurious establishments, although I fully understand that prices reflect demand.
