My family and I took a couple of days away to this beautiful (and wonderfully renovated!) hotel as a treat to ourselves. We’ve been once before and liked it enough to return again. This time, however, was even better. The family room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the facilities of a high standard, especially the swimming pool. My personal highlight was the breakfast, with its wide range of choices, and gorgeous surroundings. Particularly, I want to highlight and thank the two staff we engaged with… On explaining my wife’s tomato allergy to the waitress, she listened carefully, then sent her manager, Chrissie, to our table. Chrissie then took the time to find out all the potential issues, then arranged for my wife’s breakfast to be individually prepared, and all her utensils to be sanitised, to avoid cross-contamination. This level of professionalism and personal care was profoundly touching, and much appreciated. We’re already looking forward to our third stay at this exquisite venue, with particular thanks to Chrissie and her team! 👍🏻

Thank you team Dunston hall ! Just returned from a two night stay with the family and we all were very impressed. From check in, to the bedrooms and leisure facility’s all staff were very welcoming. We ate in the restaurant both nights and both nights brilliant service. But a special mention to the breakfast team both days, every staff member we can in to contact with were so friendly and they even taken time out to make sure our children were looked after making them laugh, getting them colouring books. I don’t like to signal any one out but the following staff Bea, Helen, Louie and Janice all led by Kristie were amazing thank you so much. Will definitely be returning :)

“Great stay…..”

Stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe king room, could not fault the room as was very comfortable and clean, bar and restaurant were nice food was very good, all staff were very helpful, used the spa facilities a few times, great pool, sauna & steam room. Hopefully will be back soon.

“Great hotel, terrible breakfast”

Hotel is beautiful and rooms are great! Getting to the room was a challenge with luggage and two young children, the family room we booked was down a floor down the corridor to the end, left then up 3 floors, right and down the end of that corridor. Hotel is beautiful and rooms are great! Getting to the room was a challenge with luggage and two young children, the family room we booked was down a floor down the corridor to the end, left then up 3 floors, right and down the end of that corridor. Not ideal. Breakfast was terrible tho! Extremely unorganised, took 20 mins to get seated, staff seating guests having to clean tablet at the same time slowing whole process down. Guests having to tell staff hot items had run out, bacon all fatty, render the fat by cooking longer! Only 1 coffee machine working so long queue there. Mushrooms supposedly garlic and salt butter, no seasoning on them at all. Butchers sausages looked and tasted like richmand. All very basic and bland. Had better breakfasts at premier inn. Very disappointing considering the price and the rest of the hotel. This was a big let down
