My husband, 6 month old son and I stayed here on our way back from France last week and staff couldn’t have been more helpful to us. My cot request hadn’t gone through but the gentleman on reception brought one up to us personally and promptly. In the morning, our son was sleeping so we decided to take it in turns to go down for breakfast, which I explained to Monika who was managing the restaurant at the time. She was SO kind! She explained service was finishing sooner than I thought, so let me take a tray of breakfast up to the room (which she got her colleague to bring up for me), so that we could eat together. She was extremely helpful to me and to all the guests around me, and is an absolute asset to the hotel. I’ve written to IHG to say as much, but in case it doesn’t get picked up, I wanted to back it up here :)

Stayed here on a Saturday night before an early morning flight from Heathrow the next day. We'd booked two rooms with parking for one car while we were away. In the main, we really liked this hotel. The girls on reception were friendly and welcoming enough, and showed an interest in where we were flying to the next day. Restaurant and bar was modern, new and fresh, with oversized chairs and a very cosy feel. The food wasn't too badly priced considering where we were, and the quality was very good indeed. I had the bacon chops, and my partner had the haddock and chips, both delicious. We had two rooms - my partner had a premium room on the 8th floor, and I had a double bedded room on the 7th floor. Both very spacious and, to my eye at least, clean and comfortable. Our only criticim of our stay is, alas, some of the other guests. My room had a connecting door to the adjoining room, and although it was locked, it was flimsy. The people in the room next to me came back at 0030hrs and, after mistakenly trying to force my bedroom door open, started talking loudly and laughing without so much as a care for anyone but themselves. I got no sleep whatsoever as a result but was thankful that I had to get up v early for the flight. My partner, though not in a connecting room, had similar issues from selfish people talking loudly and banging doors outside her room on and off all night. She also found the bed very uncomfortable and felt well used. But overall, I did like this hotel and I would probably stay again. Incidentally, we had to come back to the hotel to collect our car at the end of the holiday, and we decided to pop back to the restaurant for some dinner before heading home. And once again, the food and service was fantastic.
