Travelodge Cardiff Atlantic Wharf

“Good price, good hotel”

Plenty of parking, check in pleasant and quick. Room clean and nice size. Bed comfy with extra pillows aside if required. Close to Millennium Centre for our concert and rest of Cardiff Bays attractions. Breakfast was very good with enough options to please everyone.

We have stayed in this Travelodge on several occasions and have always been impressed by the friendliness and care shown by the helpful staff. The rooms are basic but clean and all you need for a short stay. Parking is exceptionally easy (not always the case in some hotels). The breakfasts are very good and "all you can eat". On this occasion we found Kim to be especially helpful. We can also recommend the pizzas!!

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. It is quite expensive for a Travelodge. I have never been able to find a true cheap deal here, but that’s probably due to the location. It is really handy for Cardiff Bay Train Station, close to the Millennium Centre and local bay attractions. The hotel is everything you’d expect from a Travelodge. It is basic, but clean, although it is probably due a refresh, as my bathroom was starting to look a bit tired. It can be quite a noisy hotel with partygoers coming in from a night out talking loudly through the corridors and slamming doors. There is also some noise from the street outside too. Although this time disruption was minimal as the road alongside the hotel was closed this time, so it wasn’t as noisy as usual. I had an issue with reception when I was checking out. I’ve always been able to leave my small suitcase behind reception after check-out so that I could go out for the day. This has never been an issue in the past. However, this time they refused to let me leave my bag. They also couldn’t offer me a solution, so I had to drag my suitcase around with me all afternoon as my train home wasn’t until 5.30pm.
