This is a very nice hotel. The service was excellent - one day I complained my room had not been cleaned and housekeeping arrived literally two minutes afterwards. The rooms are big, the bed comfortable, and everything works. It is very centrally located - a few minutes away from the central shopping area and the Castle. The hotel was very quiet with no obvious street noise. The lobby with the wood fires is really cool. Having stayed in several hotels in Cardiff, I judge this one the best.

The hotel is centrally located with gorgeous well appointed rooms and a lovely spa. My only complaint is that the hot tub wasn't working during our trip (it was a big motivating factor in Hotel selection) but having an extra deep bathtub in our room made up for it. Hotel staff expertly dealt with a loud party in the room next to us, thankfully it resolved quickly and early in the night.

“Would absolutely stay here again!”

Wonderful location! The hotel doesn't have their own parking but there is a garage right across the street. Wonderful location! The hotel doesn't have their own parking but there is a garage right across the street. We requested a room from the back side of the hotel as the nightlife on the front can get loud. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable and the towels were big and soft. Water pressure was great! The tap was a bit quirky but we got along with it. We did the breakfast only once, and it was just ok, nothing special. There is a possibility of ordering warm items directly from the kitchen but we found out about this only towards the end of our breakfast because the menu cards on the table were empty (so we had to specifically ask if they were supposed to contain options). The staff is fantastic! A special shout out to David (and to another young gentleman who was there during our check-in), who - aside having a wonderful personality and great sense of humor - really went out of his way to help us to make our time in Cardiff memorable.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times, and in general its been good. Over the past few months the feel has certainly been more of a 'going through the motions' rather than any sort of pride. From poor service in the bar, to breakfast being over lower quality (I tend to skip it now and get something outside), the rooms are just 'okay'. Hotels always drift downwards over time, and this one is no exception. The concern for me was that I left an item in the room at check out. It was a £60 game controller, I'd left it on the bed to wrap and protect in transit. I realised immediately and emailed when I landed, and after no response in 24 hours, I phoned reception to be told "nothing was found and we have your number if it turns up". I've still had no follow up from the email, and emailed Radisson directly, which has also had no reply. Without going to the police and reporting it as theft, there is little to be done, and that would prove fruitless and frustrating, so I doubt I'll do that. However, lacking trust in the hotel staff, and the management to deal with issues leaves little choice but to consider other hotels.
