“Fantastic all round experience, would definitely visit again”

From the moment we arrived for my husband's 2 night 60th birthday stay, the staff were friendly, helpful and answered every question as best they could. I treated us to an executive room which was well worth the extra cost, spacious, comfortable, quiet and a view of trees at the back instead of buildings at the front. The pool and spa facilities were well maintained and clean (we didn't use the gym), in fact due to an unexpected flood in their plant room affecting water temperatures they had to close it on our last day, but had arranged with another 'chain' hotel a 2 minute walk away for their facilities to be used by all Park Plaza guests- we took up this offer and this other hotel's pool and shower facilities were shabby by comparison, which reinforced I had made the right choice in the PP. We also ate at the adjoined Laguna restaurant on one night (all meat dishes incredibly succulent and delicious with very generous portions), and the afternoon tea the next day was also as expected ( had to take some home in a take-out box); breakfasts were also excellent, cooked items fresh, and plenty of choice- again all restaurant staff very friendly without being over familiar, and professional without being stuffy. I cannot think of a single thing to fault about this hotel and the facilities we used, and would definitely stay here if visiting Cardiff again, and would also look into other Park Plaza hotels in other locations. Thank you to all concerned for an enjoyable stay, particularly the restaurant staff. My only warning is the NCP car park across the road which is expensive as expected. PP display a 25% discount code which I planned to use at the machine on exit, but couldn’t see how to apply the code at the machine, so decided to take advantage of pay later at home. On doing so I discovered I should have used the App to apply the code (which I didn’t have time to install on departure) and had to do so before exiting the car park! Not the fault of PP at all, but something to be aware of.

“100% excellent”

very good service to guests, comfortable and beautiful rooms, very professional staff, delicious and varied breakfast. Bathroom very clean and tide. I 100% recommend this hotel for visiting the city of Cardiff, It is located in the city centre , close to the main tourist sites.
