“Enjoyable stay with a warm welcome”
Great central location, friendly and welcoming staff and parking on site. As always when we stay at the Holiday inn a great breakfast. Great central location, friendly and welcoming staff and parking on site. As always when we stay at the Holiday inn a great breakfast. Nice size rooms and big comfortable bed, yes the decor is a bit dated but our room was clean, spacious and functional so not really an issue for myself. The room price was very reasonable compared to a few other hotels and Airbnb’s I priced.

“Amazing for a wheelchair user”
We booked this hotel as it had an overhead hoist. They did ask us beforehand what size the wheelchair was because the lift is small. We booked this hotel as it had an overhead hoist. They did ask us beforehand what size the wheelchair was because the lift is small. We have a large wheelchair, longer than most, and found this not to be a problem. The bedroom and bathroom are really big. You could have a disco in the bathroom as it's so big. We had a shower over a bath, which wouldn't suit some users. This was a massive plus because my friend loves a bath, and with the hoist over the bath, she was able to have one. I do think they could fit a walk-in shower in the bathroom as well as a bath. The staff from maintenance, breakfast, housekeeping and reception were so friendly and very very helpful. The breakfast was really nice, we asked for poached eggs and porridge which was brought out to us within minutes. Amazing service. I can't explain how good it was to have a break away without any hiccups. We're already planning our next visit!!!

Nice welcome from the reception team, made even better with a complementary Welsh Cake. Great location, just minutes walk from the Principality Stadium and 5 minutes to the bars and restaurants of St.Marys Street and the shopping in St.Davids Centre. Rooms are large enough and ones facing the front overlook the incredible Cardiff Castle. The rooms and corridors are very tired and are in need of a serious update in comparison to some of the other major hotels in the city. There is no safe or fridge in the room which is almost a standard these days. The hairdryer is ineffective, being secured into a draw with the mirror begin in the darkest corner of the room. Would be better to bring your own hairdryer and use one of the mirrors where there is better light. This is not up to a usual Holiday Inn standard, but if location over quality is a priority, this should be a consideration for a Cardiff stay if the booking price is reflective.
