I booked the Aston Room at the Holt to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday. I cannot say enough positive comments about the whole experience. From my initial email enquiry being promptly answered and telephone conversations with Mon; to a site visit with the wonderful Charlie who answered all my questions and prepared a bespoke gathering. On the day we were able to access the room early and found it had been prepared and decorated even better than we expected. The staff on the day led by Charlie (sadly I forgot all their names, but they were all brilliant) were so helpful and supportive and nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was perfect and we were able to take what remained home afterwards to feed our visitors the next day. The staff even gave my mother a lovely gift at the end of the day!! We will definitely be back for future celebrations!!

I had the BEST experience at the Holt! The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful, the bartenders were a delight, the maids outstanding and the food spectacular! The manager was also very friendly and polite. I am a paranormal investigator and everyone was so helpful and inquisitive. I would talk with the front desk staff about my findings and they were so interested and friendly. I can’t say enough about the staff! I’m from New York and I’ve NEVER experienced such friendly and helpful people! I would absolutely go back there in a heartbeat and know even before I get there that I would have a wonderful experience! The hotel itself was so cute and quaint and very clean. I wish that I didn’t have to leave in all honesty.

We just spent two wonderful days in The Holt thanks largely to Charlie , the wonderful General Manager . Charlie was welcoming as we checked in and his assistance and advice throughout our stay was marvellous. Thank you Charlie for making our holiday so memorable. A big shout out also to Sanjina who served us dinner & drinks with a warm smile . She has a lovely disposition that makes one at ease . Charlie runs a great ship and his presence is obvious throughout. Keep it going 👏👏

I very much enjoyed my stay. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Only very small drawback would be ( and this might seem a strange thing to mention) the doors that are in-between areas are very quick to swing back. They don't allow a lot of time to be able to get your bags through them before they swing shut! Frustrating when you've got more than 1 bag/suitcase. Other than that, a great place to stay. Thank you very much.
