The hotel is in an excellent location. The underground parking is perfect and has got easy access to reception. The booking in experience was perfect and Aaryan on reception made it so easy for us. He was so helpful and his expertise is a credit to the Hilton at Reading. The access to all floors is very easy via lifts from reception. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The room was perfectly clean. With a very comfortable bed what more can you wish for. Any tea,coffee etc that needed replenishing was not a problem. The food in the onsite restaurant was very good and the breakfast was perfect and nothing was too much trouble for the staff in the restaurant. Throughout our stay all the staff at the Hilton Reading was very good and very professional from the reception staff, the restaurant staff, the cleaning staff and once again we must thank Aaryan on reception for looking after us from the minute we arrived. You are all a credit to the Hilton Reading.

Business stays are never easy on the soul. They appeal to it when younger and drain it when older since the time away from home hits harder. The tendency to be negative when faced by endless presentations can jade even the sunniest of souls but sometimes, they can soothe and freshen when things go well and at this hotel they do. I was staying back to back with work and on my own before holiday so had two bookings and was keen to avoid changing rooms mid stay. Reception staff were impeccably polite, welcoming and efficient and made that element easy and stress free. Breakfast and dinner were equally lovely. Being almost the sole diner that final Thursday night restaurant staff created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The crab arancini was terrific. Overall, the stay became a relaxing and soothing experience - I almost felt guilty for enjoying it.

Stayed here on two occasions a week apart. First in room 223 and then in 106. Room 223 was a more expensive room that I was kindly given when my original room (also 106) was not ready when I arrived. Stayed here on two occasions a week apart. First in room 223 and then in 106. Room 223 was a more expensive room that I was kindly given when my original room (also 106) was not ready when I arrived. The rooms are brights, fairly spacious, and have a nice big window. When I arrived in room 223 it was a clear near-sunset which lit the room and made it look amazing when I first entered. Room 106 is at the other side of the hotel so didn't get that same effect. 106 - Standard room - There's a TV, an ice bucket, a kettle with some teas and coffees, 2 waters in the fridge (still and sparkling) a phone, a nice chair and table, a huge bed and plenty of lights! 223- An upgrade room? - As well as the above this room came with a Nespresso machine, with 4 pods, and a couple of Nespresso cups. It had two robes, and two sets of slippers, as well as a shoe cleaning kit. Also it had 4 waters in the fridge (2 still & 2 sparkling). Aside from that they are about the same. I used the gym and spa on my first visit. The Gym is OK - not as much equipment as a regular gym obviously. A few treadmills, x-trainers etc. Some dumbells and a cable machine. The spa wasn't amazing in comparison to other hotels. To start, the changing rooms are open and have no changing cubicles (I hate this!). They have a steam room, a sauna (which smells a bit weird) and a swimming pool. Sadly no jacuzzi! I never returned to either on my second visit. Mainly due to a sore ankle so I didn't want to go for a run at the gym, and I didn't feel the spa was worth going downstairs for. I met the same lady at checkin on both occasions and she was friendly and had a good sense of humour. The lady who checked me into the Spa on my first visit was also very friendly. Same story with the breakfast staff! The only issues I really had whilst here was that in room 223 I was on the side of the hotel which overlooks the main road - and the noise of the cars and bikes racing really bothers me, and woke me up in the middle of the night on one occasion. Room 106 is away from the road - I heard no noise and was not disturbed at all. I would definately stay here again, although I will be requesting a room away from the main road when I do!
