What a wonderful hotel. We visited with our two year who absolutely loved exploring around the hotel. We ate in the bar- we were looked after by a lady called Grace who went above and beyond to accommodate us, it’s a rare find to have staff that will go out of their way and make an experience extra special. We will definitely be returning. Please ensure to recognise Grace internally as she really made our evening.

A very short but incredible stay at the Beaumont. Not our first stay and without doubt it will not be our last. The hotel has a very very laid back attitude to all guests, it is very clean, very friendly, very interesting and above all very peaceful. We had a little break to the peacefulness when the Fire alarm activated in the early hours but the staff acted quickly and precisely, reassuring guests all was safe before they returned to their rooms. The hotel and the staff are certainly very special, we will return very soon. Thankyou Mike and Kathryn

Outstanding visit. We are in the 1705 restaurant and found all delicious - especially the fresh baked ( still warm) artisanal breads. And our servers were wonderful- Suleiman really stood out for his joy and pride in his work. The pool was impressive- large for a hotel, brightly lit, clean and with a lap for lane swimming as well as plenty of floats for leisure or aqua aerobics. The gym was huge and truly well stocked ! But all of this pales compared to the building and grounds themselves. Make sure you go to the Chapel inside ( now a hip function room but still featuring great ceiling ) and take a walk in the immaculate grounds to see fantastic modern bronze sculpture and moving war memorial as well as beautiful woodland… finally walk all around the corridors to see the clever grouped artwork everywhere ( also in rooms). Clever mix of Victorian, Edwardian and modern quirkiness. Try the vintage phone in your room to remember ( or discover!) what it’s like to DIAL! 😁 it’s like an Edwardian gentleman’s club and though I’m a lady I can’t wait to return!

The bed overall comfortable,however the pillows are just terrible, could not get a good night sleep,neither did my partner. The room when We arrived was quiet cold,it is an old building so understandable, so then We turned the heating on,but then the room was boiling hot, We just could not set the right temperature , in the end that contributed to Our sleepless nights. The water pressure is the worst what I've ever experienced. The hot water is not really hot, even on the highest setting I felt like just acceptable. The biggest let down was the 1705 restaurant experience. At the first dinner We were served by a young gentleman Ajit , He definetely needs to improve on the product knowledge,When We have ordered drinks He came back three times just to check my drink order ( southern comfort+lemonade) in the end I did not get the drink right. He was nice and polite,but I thought it worth mentioning. For the second dinner I wanted to make a booking, requesting a specific table for Our anniversary. So I went to the host station to make the booking, at the time the Host lady wasn't there, So I was told by the same gentleman to go and make booking at the reception. I did not understand why He couldn't take my booking as I was discussing with him the details on the same night or Why He couldn't advise me to wait until the Hostess returns. In the end I made the booking with the reception with a young gentleman, Unfortanutely He did not put my request down for the specific table or somehow it got overlooked by the restuarant staff, either way I did not get my requested table which absolutely ruined Our night, Especially because I saw on the spot another couple has been seated there just 1 minute before us. I did express my feelings about the matter straight away to the restaurant manager(?)but the only thing she could say She can make a booking for tomorrow. I would've expect from her to explain the situation to the other couple and correct the mistake. I do work in hospitality, I know exactly mistakes I think the breakfast (continental selection) is superb, especially the gluten free and dairy free section, I like how everything was displayed, usually I need to ask the staff to get for me. The building and whole estate just magnificent,it is truly a getaway from the everyday busy life. I liked the common areas, very modern,yet they managed to preserve the building's characteristics. I think it is a good value for money especially with the breakfast included.
