Stayed here for 2 nights whilst working near by. Lovely setting in golf course. My room was a suite which was lovely and big however .. The room was dusty and needed a proper clean and hoover, cheap toiletries and no bottles water in fridge , room was about £145 a night so I would have expected this. Restaurant was full at night and no meals were available unless you had booked a dinner, this was due to a concert so the next night we went into town. There needs to be more housekeeping in the place dirty plates , glasses etc in main hotel and out by golf course starter box. Bed was comfortable and room quiet, breakfast was plentiful however coffee shocking both filter and machine ! I would stay again as it’s huge potential if given a spruce up . Our office in Norwich uses it a lot and said it had mixed review and depends what room you get !

Hotel is average but the surroundings are beautiful. Hotel is average but the surroundings are beautiful. Evening menu is a bit on the pathetic side to be honest ( 6 meals to choose from which doesn’t seem like enough variety ) so we ate out every night. Breakfast was good, we enjoyed the food but didn’t like that we had to book our breakfast slot the day before we was eating it. Plans change / people stay up late and having to think “ oh we’ve got our 8am breakfast slot tomorrow “ just really put a downer on the whole thing. I say 8am because most people rush out of bed to book the slot for the next day so half the time, all decent slots are gone. This isn’t a good process and really hope the management reevaluate this. Spa had excellent choices to choose from and found the prices to be very fair and the lady I had was excellent.. she was so friendly and very good at what she does. Which is more than I can say for the spa receptionist .. blunt, and borderline rude. Even from the faces I was pulling when she was talking to me, I don’t think it registered how rude she was coming across but hey, maybe it was just her personality. I have stayed here before and always found staff to be quite friendly and approachable, but this weekend was very different. Staff seemed miserable & disinterested. We had to ask for extra teabags and toilet roll as you don’t get housekeeping unless you’ve been in the room for 3 days or more ( this is what they said to me ) but other reviews suggest they’ve said 4 days so who knows. Bed was very uncomfortable ( normally I can sleep anywhere, train, car ) but this bed.. honestly, it needs to go in the skip. We spent most our time outside the hotel and had a really good weekend in Norwich. The hotel is average and if it was £50-£60 a night, you’d think you got a bargain however we paid just under £400 for two nights for a twin double, breakfast included. It’s not the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, but I’ve stayed in better.
