The Staybridge Newcastle is an outstanding phenomenally curated team driven guest experience. We love coming here, so much so 12 years later we are still returning as do many other guests who we recognise. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into town and 15 minute walk to Quayside, it's in an excellent safe, quiet location providing a perfect sleep and offers a secure car park. Reception are always on hand to book a taxi if needed. On exit as it is a secure car park, reception provide the code to leave which is very simple to input into the keypad. Katerina, Jason, Yenny, Johannes etc offer the warmest of welcomes. Also Ben the night porter who is really helpful and always full of smiles. The rooms are immaculate and warm and homely, offering everything you could possibly need. It really is a home from home with excellent housekeeping. The breakfast team provide a wonderful selection, considering this is a complimentary breakfast it is absolutely brilliant with an amazing selection to suit everyone. The breakfast team are very friendly, helpful and keep the breakfast in supply and the tables available. Selection of breakfast includes, unlimited tea, coffee and other hot drinks, unlimited variety fruit juices. Also variety of milk to suit different dietary requirements. Also bacon, sausage, egg, beans, hash browns etc. Pastries, bread, yoghurts, fruit, cereals, a huge selection of spreads, waffles, muffins, and so on and so on. This is an excellent breakfast and provided to a high standard including the different dietary requirements people may have. The team really are amazing. In the hotel is also a gym, some food and drink items to purchase if needed, there is a laundry as well. On certain days they have a 'social event' where you can meet the managers, the amazing Natalie (we have known Natalie since we first started staying at the Staybridge) , Lisa, Nola etc and able to socialise with other guests - such a fab thing to do and they really do take care of you. This is our hotel choice for events/concerts/ in Newcastle which we attend regularly and we also come here even when events not on to unwind and relax. Thank you to everyone in Team Staybridge, it is a phenomenal experience, it is something unique and it is always like coming home. We are IHG loyal members and no matter where we travel in the world this is our Number 1 IHG Hotel. Thank you Team Staybridge.

“5 stars just isn’t enough!”

Can’t thank the staff enough for their hospitality during our stay, two ladies in particular (both who I assume were Chinese) are a credit to this company, I didn’t get their names unfortunately. Can’t thank the staff enough for their hospitality during our stay, two ladies in particular (both who I assume were Chinese) are a credit to this company, I didn’t get their names unfortunately. Room was amazing, bed super comfy and a well stocked kitchen. They have a pantry onsite for you to buy bits from. Breakfast was amazing, they made fresh breakfast if you had allergens which I really appreciated. Hot Drinks and Water available all the time in their little diner area, we were grateful for these as we were here during a massive storm. We ordered a Chinese one night and the ladies mentioned above gave recommendations, and even got us extra cutlery and plates with an ice bucket for the wine. One of the best stays I’ve had and next time we’re visiting we will be rebooking again.

“Great hotel with fabulous staff”

We visited Staybridge previously 10 years ago and had always planned to return but hadn't managed till now. Fantastic staff (sorry didn't catch any of their names) who are a credit to the hotel but 1 girl said she had been there 15 years) who went the extra mile for their customers. Ideal location with secure parking. Please note it costs £13 a night but in my opinion this is a small price to pay given their location. However parking was included in the price I paid. Fabulous suite which overlooked the Quayside. We stayed in a King Studio suite and it was ideal for us. Loved the bed - nice and firm. Very quiet too. Having a small kitchen was also good. However some instructions on how to work the microwave would be appreciated. Also instructions on the lighting would be beneficial too (for instance wanted to turn off light beside the door without switching off living area lights). 20-30 min walk into town centre. However if you have mobility issues getting a taxi would be preferable (around £6-£7 from hotel). Also you have to use an underpass to go under the busy road and wouldn't be keen to use this at night. Quayside is a 10 min walk away. Breakfast was basic but good. I am lactose intolerant and there was plenty I could eat. We came from the north and it was easy to get to and from the hotel. Will definitely return again.
