On arrival the location was extremely rural, the building house & accommodation all though looks a country style is build with modern materials. The room was clean & well appointed. The unexpected came with the breakfast, it was self prepare in the room & it was all you would expect. it was a change not to have to face Full English all fried. From some who travels into this area on a regular basis it is one of my first locations to see it availability.

A thoughtfully designed loft conversion in a quiet location. Excellent initial impression - even better than the website photos. Warm with comfortable seating and a good sized TV. A decent fridge that was quiet enough not to disturb at night. Clean and tidy. Previous reviews complained about the lack of door to the en-suite - however it is still private enough and a door there would be impractical. Some issues though..... 1) No B&B signage from the main road or where the access road forks. 2) Emailed some days before our stay with a question, but no reply so had to phone. 3) Let ourselves in as prearranged but no follow up welcome from Emma when she arrived home shortly after our arrival. 4) Milk in the fridge was open, out of date and off. 5) The help yourself breakfast was minimal especially compared with other similar places we have stayed (we have stayed away on business regularly for many years). 6) Creaky bed. 7) Just one pillow each. 8) No hand towels. 9) Basin won't drain unless the plug mechanism is physically held up or removed. 10) No shower gel (but there was hand wash and bath additive) 11) Property boasts underfloor heating in the en-suite but turned off with no instructions for use that we could see. 12) Plug-in nightlight/torch flashes annoyingly at random at night. 13) The room was not serviced during our stay - perfectly normal for self-catering but very unusual for a B&B. If we are expected to self-service then a tea-towel and washing liquid would be handy. So; much to commend but too many little glitches which could so easily be rectified.
