A special thank you to Lauren for her outstanding customer service. This kind and very cheerful employee is a true asset to this establishment and truly deserves recognition. The room was amazing, very comfortable, so much space, absolutely spotless and the balcony is such a "Wow factor!"...my son was completely mesmerised. 😊 A special mention and thank you to the Duty Manager, (apologies I didn't catch her name), on Saturday morning, who was so attentive and helpful, this kind lady was constantly checking in on us making sure we were ok. Thank you.

“Gem of a hotel”

Had a wonderful stay, the hotel was comfortable rooms were big, we were on first floor, so quiet, the dinner in the evenings we were not impressed, as a coach party, the first night chicken curry and rice, and raw fish, but all the food was stone cold, the other two nights even though we had prepaid we ate out as didn't want to chance it, the best thing about the hotel was the amazing staff, Lauren, Tiana, and Mandy, on the desk were so helpful and kind as we're all the team, in the dining room, would stay again, just to see them, as a catering manager for many years, the holiday inn are lucky to have such a happy proffesional team.

The staff at reception have to stand their whole shift with no privision of a high desk chair, come on IHG bosses, staff wellbeing should be a priority. The reception team are a credit to the brand , so get them a chair. Dissapointing after being told the pool was fixed prior to our journey, to be told on arrival it was shut within hours, this hotel was booked purely for the pool. Suggesting a day pass at bannantyne around the corner at £25 pp was not a reasoable suggestion. The hotel overall was very clean, our room was lovely, comfy bed, as was our daughters family room but she did not have a fridge , so if you are booking a family room with babies or small children and may need a fridge , check its included. Drinks were fair, there is an area on 2nd floor with darts board, fuseball and pool table, the kids loved this, there was a party under our room 145 we were warned about by lauren (super team member well done) and at 12 midnight we could finally go to sleep, my daughters room 208 heard nothing so if you want an early night ask for quiet room and check if function on. Breakfast was lovely could be hotter, you need to ask for pancakes if the children want them, but staff were very attentive, on the whole we liked the location of hotel, all bar one round the corner for lunch with live saxaphone player was great, but we would come back to the hotel, and if you are an IHG member, ask if any offers ongoing as we got free parking saving £30 on 2 cars , felt at home at this hotel
