What a wonderful experience we had staying at Premier Inn, Old Trafford! The staff were very convivial. I struck up a conversation with the front desk host because they pronounced my Yoruba name perfectly! That made me smile instantly, though I was very tired. They managed to persevere in finding me a twin room. The room was very comfortable and clean, and I slept very well. It was a very good experience. The only issues which are not huge ones: we had to pay £8 for overnight parking and there is no room service, but these were not really a problem.

“The hotel was great for accessing media city and the Old Trafford cricket ground”

The bed was comfortable, it was close to media city, within walking distance of our relations. The roads around were closed for a football fixture, getting into the hotel was difficult in the dark and foggy weather. The bed was comfortable, it was close to media city, within walking distance of our relations. The roads around were closed for a football fixture, getting into the hotel was difficult in the dark and foggy weather. Eventually, after three attempts we found our way the diversion signs were too far apart (and our satnav confused us) Once at the hotel reservation staff and bar staff made us feel welcome and our room was cosy and clean. “Lovely staff, but horrible accessibility ”

Stayed here for a gig around the corner. When we arrived there was plenty of parking, with a couple of disabled bays right next to the door which was great. Stayed here for a gig around the corner. When we arrived there was plenty of parking, with a couple of disabled bays right next to the door which was great. The person who checked us in was absolutely lovely and made sure we had all the information we needed. The disabled toilet near the reception was OK, slightly on the small side, but adequate. A member of staff actually held the hallway doors open for me, and waited for me to come back out to hold the door again. Unfortunately, once we got to our "accessible" room, I realized that my wheelchair wouldn't fit through the door. My wheelchair isn't small, but it most definitely isn't one of the biggest chairs on the market. I went back to reception and Amy seemed as shocked as I was at this. She offered to take me to another "accessible" room to try, which again my wheelchair didn't fit through. Thankfully there was another which was in the process of being cleaned that the cleaner allowed me to try out quickly. My chair fit in this one. Once the key cards were swapped we moved rooms. However, this room also had issues. My chair could not fit to go around to the other side of the bed (where all the space was) due to the desk being in the way. Thankfully my husband was able to move the desk towards the wall so I could get passed. Unfortunately, the space between the bed and wardrobe was tight. The controller on my chair was literally pressing into the bed due to a lack of space. The reading lights on either side of the bed were wobbly and seemed rather unsafe. The T.V in the room had it's own set of issues. Once turned on, it decided to stop responding to the remote, or buttons on the side of it while trying to turn up the volume. After about 20 minutes it then decided to go to full volume, and not turn back down, or turn off. It eventually did turn itself off. When we returned after the gig, again the staff were lovely and very welcoming. Unfortunately not a hotel I plan on staying at again
