Clean, stylish and well-maintained. Staff was very polite and efficient. Rooms are spatious well-appointed. Breakfast had plenty options including vegan. Great value for the money. Overall, I was very impressed and pleased with the service.

I booked an accessible room for myself and my 14 year old daughter for 1 night. Upon check in we were asked for a deposit “in case of any damages” which I thought rather odd considering the guests checking in in front of us were not asked for the same, but paid non the less. Room was on the 15th floor and was more than adequate, although some finer details to cleaning were missed e.g. lid off Starbucks coffee cup casually left on lip above the desk. View was good, but do be cautious. We both got an eyeful of a chap strutting around in the apartment block opposite, who clearly has a disregard for curtains. Once we did some minor rearrangement of the furniture - moved the desk slightly and moved the unnecessary bench from the end of the bed, I was able to get around the room and to the window in my wheelchair with ease. We ate in the Marco Pierre White restaurant on the evening and the service was excellent, largely due to the fact that it was empty. The meal, although slightly more expensive than a lot of other places was lovely and for us the convenience of it being in the hotel was what swung it for us. We’d also had a busy afternoon so being able to eat within the hotel was a sound option. My daughter did say it was the best lasagne she’s ever had which is praise indeed. The Koffmann Fries which we had on the side were particularly moreish! Bed was comfortable, and being able to sit in bed and gaze across to Manchester and the Pennies beyond was stunning. We did have a slight issue with the toilet in that the flush deteriorated during our stay to the point that it simply stopped working completely upon check out. To be fair it wasn’t particularly wonderful to begin with which is not wholly ideal in any hotel room never mind a one for guests with particular needs. I reported it upon check out and was reassured that maintenance would be called. Breakfast was great with lots of choice, even for my fussy daughter. The staff at breakfast in particular on Sunday morning were so helpful and attentive. Breakfast certainly set us up for a full day of exploring and shopping! Will we be back? Yes, almost certainly! We only stayed one night and feel that there is still so much to explore. As a long time IHG member I always try to choose a Holiday Inn where at all possible. It’s just a step above some of the other chains I find. Can’t wait to come back to Media City.
