As a group of friends We have a trip every year for a spa day in December the staff are lovely helpful and friendly. The treatment I received with Dinos was one of the best I have ever received. It’s a really nice day but I have to say that the Christmas lunch was not up to the usual high standard with lack of fresh vegetables and reformed turkey. It was okay but I hope it’s better next year as I am sure we will be back.

It has so much potential, but overall it looks tired/outdated. Positives - Great location in the countryside and from the outside it looks impressive. It has so much potential, but overall it looks tired/outdated. Positives - Great location in the countryside and from the outside it looks impressive. The lounge area is grand with a cosy fire and on arrival the staff were friendly enough which gives it a nice first impression. - Despite the bed being a standard double size we found it quite comfortable which was a relief. - We were also impressed with the pub which is a short walk across the grounds - the food and service was very pleasant. - Finally, the pool area does the job but it was small which made it feel a little crowded. Negatives - The rooms have seen better days and the decor feels like it hasn’t been touched in decades — from the green curtains to the brown carpet that dates back to the '70s. The furniture is worn, and the walls are in need of fresh paint. The bathroom fixtures/tiles are old, and while they work, they could definitely use an upgrade. - The website also states that there is a “well equipped gym” but that is far from the truth. It’s a small squared room with some outdated equipment. Overall, after our initial disappointment at the run down room, we actually had a pleasant enough experience. We just wouldn’t go back.

4 of us went on a 2 day golf trip. Hotel and Linden Tree pub all very good with great staff. Excellent food and very comfortable rooms.Golf course in such poor condition that it really isn't worth playing. Despite the fact that it hasn't rained for over 2 weeks the course was very wet. No sand in all the bunkers and the greens were covered in worm cast and ultra slow. The offer was for unlimited golf but we only managed 18 holes on day one and 9 the following day. Pity as the course is well laid out with some well designed holes, particularly the par 3s but it is too wet to play . Take your wellies!!!
