Stunning location. The resort is a little dated and in need of some TLC. Rafters Bar serves good food but not always open. A little more communication about what is open and when would be helpful. We stayed in a 3 bed lodge which had new bathrooms. Very spacious and clean. Beds extremely comfortable. We used Loch Ard Adventure Centre (opposite the Hotel) which was excellent but again not always open. It is a pity that the adventure centre is not part of the Hotel complex as it gives direct access to the Loch. Loads to do in the area but not communicated well. Fly Fishing - Lake of Monteith - excellent with incredibly helpful staff.

Me and my mother come here almost every year and everything went well, until this latest one where 2 of the cooking appliances in our room were filthy and broken. And here comes the worst part, the fire alarm goes off near midnight and wakes up everybody but it was a false alarm, the staff said ... more

Me and my mother come here almost every year and everything went well, until this latest one where 2 of the cooking appliances in our room were filthy and broken. And here comes the worst part, the fire alarm goes off near midnight and wakes up everybody but it was a false alarm, the staff said the room where it got activated was perfectly fine but the alarm went off 7 more times keeping some people awake throughout the night Including myself. The reason it went off was because there was dust inside the detector causing it to go off. The rest of the holiday was good.

“Beautiful location”

Hotel is in a beautiful location, stunning views and lovely gardens. Free car parking always a bonus. Hotel itself is a wee bit dated maybe needs some upgrading. Hotel is in a beautiful location, stunning views and lovely gardens. Free car parking always a bonus. Hotel itself is a wee bit dated maybe needs some upgrading. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, however it was quite warm and stuff even with the window open. Window had quite a lot of black mould around it, could do with a proper good scrub. Quite expensive for dinner. Breakfast was nice, potion sizes maybe a wee bit on the small side, 1 sausage, 1 piece bacon etc. Overall a wee bit pricey for what you get. Only stayed the one night so didn’t use the leisure facilities.
