I stayed in this lovely hotel last week for five blissful nights. It sits facing the beautiful Loch and the view is breathtakingly haunting at this time of the year, with the mist hovering above the mountains. I cannot fault anything….. the room was lovely, great walk in shower but some rooms do have baths if that’s your preference, huge bed. I was bit short on hangers for my five days, but that was remedied within an hour of check in. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and dog friendly and it was first class, the food was delicious, great portions, not too small not too big and the staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. I didn’t use the Spa, I didn’t have time and I’m not keen on a ‘Busman’s’ holiday, however, I did go have a look and it’s lovely………. Hot tub overlooking the Loch. Bliss.

We are just back from a ‘coorie’ weekend at the Loch Fyne, we were there for our anniversary with the dog. Every contact with the hotel beforehand, they were great, very helpful and accommodating. We were looking forward to this trip and it did not disappoint. The spa facilities were great, being provided with robes to walk from the spa to your room was a great bonus! There aren’t many lockers available so def worth just going in your robe. It is busy at peak times but not for long and if you hold off, it quietens down again, to be expected around check in times. The room was comfortable & spacious, clean, good facilities, and the ‘sweet treats’ were a nice touch. The dog was very much welcomed throughout the hotel, and made a big fuss of, there’s plenty of walks near by, to exercise & let them do their business. Inveraray is in walking distance, which is very handy, for a wee wander. Dinner and breakfast were included, food was good for both - good choices - restaurant relatively relaxed, and plenty of space to sit down and enjoy a drink after dinner. The staff made the stay, they were welcoming, helpful & engaging - they are absolutely a credit to the hotel. There were a couple of wee things that just made it shy of 5/5, however, nothing that wouldn’t make us return - we will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay, feeling relaxed & refreshed!

My review really reiterates elements of other reviews - overall a fabulous hotel, but let down by housekeeping/room issues. The bistro is outstanding. I’m so glad we booked to eat there both nights as every dish we had was excellent and all of the staff were super too - just genuinely friendly, welcoming people who created a relaxed atmosphere but without losing attention to detail. The spa facilities alone make the hotel worth visiting. Between myself and my husband we made full use of everything on offer and felt both refreshed and relaxed for doing so. Because of the spa, the bistro and the staff, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel or to stay there again myself. However, we were disappointed to be given an accessible room (wet room and very low sink) with an adjoining door to another room. I’m not sure why we were allocated this room when the hotel wasn’t full and we had booked over six months earlier. There were several advertised items missing from our room, two of which we managed to seek out, but the rest never materialised despite requests to both reception and the young lady cleaning rooms on our corridor. We put the sign up for our room to be cleaned on the second day, primarily in the hope it would be restocked with the items we had used and the missing ones too. By 3pm the room still hadn’t been cleaned and we wanted to use it, so the opportunity was gone. Consequently, by the time we left we were out of basics like tea bags and toilet roll! I’m reviewing in the hope that these housekeeping issues can be smoothed out because they take the shine off what is otherwise a wonderfully equipped, located and staffed establishment.

For me overall, I don't feel my stay at Loch Fyne was worth the money. I feel if you are paying over £250 for a nights stay with breakfast, there is a certain standard which Loch Fyne fell short of. It is a beautiful old building, however the age of it does show in the rooms, with dampness being evidently quite an issue. The spa was good and my massage with Chelsea was amazing. She was definitely the highlight of the stay with her knowledge, friendliness and service. We were told that the hotel was much quieter and less busy than usual but it did make me think that I wouldn't like to be there at peak times as occasionally it felt quite crowded. The spa had 4 indoor 'beds' and 2 heated beds and these were constantly in use, so I think you would struggle for space if you came here during a busier period. The breakfast was lovely overall but if you wanted a coffee that is not a cafetiere, you are charged extra for it. Along with an additional charge for a slice of toast with your breakfast! There was a small buffet included which had some lovely bits but it would have been very busy if more than two people were there. There were complimentary teas and coffees in the bedroom (along with some pretzels - you would have thought there would have been shortbread considering you're in Scotland!) But I would have expected a complimentary bottle of water to be included which was not. I don't believe we had a small fridge in our room either, which I would have expected.
