The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The breakfasts were good (no fried bread though!) and the one evening meal that we had was good, too. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The breakfasts were good (no fried bread though!) and the one evening meal that we had was good, too. The only criticism that I have is that both lifts had insufficient lighting in them. There were notices on the lift walls and it was impossible to read them because of the lack of lighting. There was a CCTV camera in each lift but how could they capture any pictures of wrongdoing (if any)? Oh, yes. On Saturdays and Sundays, fried eggs were not available and meat and two vegetables dinners were not available. The bedroom was very good and had such a comfortable bed. We would go again if the need should arise.

Difficult one this. There's not a lot in the area, but in fairness it's only a 10 minute walk from the centre. The actual hotel is probably due a makeover, and is a bit tired. However, the room itself is clean - (again) if basic. The bathroom is a kind of pod, but fit for purpose. The reception staff were polite and efficient. I didn't pay a fortune for my room, so on that basis I would say it's fair value
