“Great Hotel”

Great location for walking. We got the all inclusive deal, which was good. Staff very friendly apart from Emily. The evening all inclusive menu is the same for a few weeks so not much choice. The room was tidy, although my friend requested it to be cleaned but it wasn't.

Would be 4.5 if could. Held our wedding here and the Pendle suite is a fantastic venue. With direct access to the gardens, guests - particularly the children, had a great time exploring. The team were knowledgeable and helpful, both during the planning stages and on the day - very accommodating. Everything ran smoothly and the food was excellent. The girlie room was spacious for getting ready, but would benefit from better lighting as it was a bit gloomy for the makeup artist. The bridal suite was a superior room, comfortable and well equipped with nice additional touches. Some areas of the venue look a little tired such as the carpet on the main stairs and seating in the main restaurant which would benefit from updating. But on the whole a lovely stay and fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone who helped make our day special.

“Friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant short break.”

The staff really make this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My husband is disabled & we realised that the stairs would be too difficult for him, so I asked to change rooms. Wonderful Millie, on reception & a lovely gentleman, who I think may be a manager, changed the room for us, without hesitation. We were always greeted with a smile throughout our stay, from all of the staff. Debbie looked after our party at breakfast & Holly & Mia served our evening meal. The hotel is looking a bit tired & dated in places, but it didn't spoil things for us. Our room was clean & the food that we had was good, albeit some variety would have made it better. Most meals were 'with chips'. That said, it was excellent value. We were even blessed with sight of the Northern lights during our stay! Special thanks to Millie for alerting us all & ensuring we got some great photos. If you want perfection, this is not the hotel for you, but if you want great,friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere & excellent value, it's ideal. The afternoon tea looked delicious too!

“Overnight stay”

This hotel is in lovely grounds and very helpful staff. The carpet on the stairs is thread bare, the standard room is very basic, odd furniture, the chair at the desk the springs had gone, dust everywhere including inside the wardrobe, looks like only the main area is hoovered. This hotel is in lovely grounds and very helpful staff. The carpet on the stairs is thread bare, the standard room is very basic, odd furniture, the chair at the desk the springs had gone, dust everywhere including inside the wardrobe, looks like only the main area is hoovered. The menu for the all inclusive deal is very basic but food was ok, the drinks available were good. Could hear music being played from 5am. The radiator didn’t seem to work, there was a plug in use, which had a smell. I personally would never stay here again because of the state of the room.
