Incredible experience. Second time staying and will certainly be back. All staff were fantastic, particularly young man on the bar. Celebrated girlfriends birthday & job, they could not do enough to make the trip memorable and special for us both. Will be back soon. Thank you very much.

Warm toffee scone with clotted cream & toffee drizzle & then the cakes. Wow! Despite taking a leisurely pace we were beaten by the cakes & had them boxed up to bring home. Plenty of tea & coffee freshly made when needed. Excellent service from Holly, attentive & polite. Thank you. We would certainly recommend for an afternoon tea with a difference. A very enjoyable afternoon.

Spent one night here in a club room after bagging a deal in their winter sale. Hotel is near the city centre, about 10 minutes walk from the main shopping district. We had stayed here before, albeit quite a few years ago. Check in was quick, although I had to ask for the drinks vouchers that were included in the room deal, and unusually the receptionist didn’t ask whether we wanted a dinner reservation (we didn’t as we were eating elsewhere). The room was a decent size, overlooking the dock, and it was clean and tidy. The decor is starting to look a bit dated now, and the corridors are very dark too, so it can feel a bit oppressive. The walk in rain shower is nice, although it’s lacking a separate nozzle you get in other hotels. We went down to the bar for a couple of drinks before heading out, it was quiet but is a lovely space to spend time. Curiously, they asked us whether we had any allergies each time we ordered our drinks, which was a first for me. A cooked breakfast was included in the deal and it was good quality, and they cook it to order which is a bit of a rarity these days. Overall a decent stay at a reasonable price, particularly given that a glass of Prosecco each and breakfast were included.

“Not bad but will not be returning”

Hotel was fine , restaurant was quite cold in the evenings however food was excellent Several guests were sitting eating their food wearing coats ! Bathroom was cold due to radiator not switched on , when we asked reception they advised that they had been switched off for Health and Safety reasons … more

Hotel was fine , restaurant was quite cold in the evenings however food was excellent Several guests were sitting eating their food wearing coats ! Bathroom was cold due to radiator not switched on , when we asked reception they advised that they had been switched off for Health and Safety reasons ...really !! Be warned the adjacent car park not owned by the hotel is very expensive , we parked for 2 nights and it cost £45.00 ...ouch . Shame nice hotel but we would not return due to the car parking charges next door.
