“Great Stay for Couples!”

A very beautiful hotel. It was our first time in Liverpool. We were dropped off at the back of the hotel which is more convenient for going to local shopping centres. Front entrance is good for the docks and food vendors. Reception was very friendly and given prompt service with our check in cards. We stayed at The Liverbird suite where you have its own seating area with a chair and stool, a huge stool as well as a sofa and a table. There is a desk shelf/bar where you can dump your every day bits whilst going in and out of the hotel. The bedroom was very spacious with a large king size bed. The pillows were a bit too hard and did give neck pains. The only issue is lack of clothing storage there are plenty of spaces where a unit of drawers could be easily put in to put clothes. There was an open storage with approx 7 hangers 2 of which had bathrobes and shelves but no where enough for clothes for a 4 day stay. There is a lovely getting ready area which could have done with a mirror but it did have a side drawer attached where a hairdryer was located. This was good for make up skincare etc and the hairdryer is a button press but it did the job. The bathroom is designed slightly quirky at first sight it looks very cramped but once you enter in there is a bath to the left and a shower to your right with the sink right in front of you. The water temperature is very good and baths are very welcoming after few walks out and around in the town. The TVs we didn’t use much but when tried on the first day the channels didn’t really work other than channels 1-5. WiFi is free and easy to connect using your email address. We had breakfast with our stay and it can be very chaotic. It is best to go around 7-8 if you don’t like a busy atmosphere. We went around 9ish for 3 of our 4 days. There is a very poor selection of hot food its sausages, mushrooms, scrambled egg, fried egg, bacon and baked beans. I asked for veggie sausages however and this was cooked and brought out to me approx 10 mins it takes but it was cooked very well. There is also porridge which is nice be careful of the ladle it can get very hot as well as jams and syrups. The rotating toaster is super super slow however we noticed there was a normal toaster near the cereal sections so definitely utilise that. Fruit and bakery not very interesting but there are some as well as coffee machines standard and juices. We only used the ILLY cafe couple of times for hot drinks the seating is comfy it’s clean and very pleasant decor. However I would opt out of the paying the breakfast charge at hotel and wander out as there are lots of places to eat at the dock as well as the museum where we had a Turkish breakfast tray which was a nice change. Overall it was a good stay for a couple on a break away.

“Excellent hotel”

Excellent stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. So close to everything Room nice and large and clean Fresh water bottles everyday which I was grateful for. About 20 mins from train station walking. Very close to Marks and Spencer Arena so great venue for concerts there

A great hotel in a great location, I had stayed here previously so knew the location and the area . Before my visit I came here to read reviews and was hesitant and had contemplated changing hotels as I didn’t want my friends disappointed. I had nothing to worry about , on arrival we were warmly greeted by the new receptionist who apologised for the delay as she was training in but she did not have to worry she was exceptional and her co workers gave her great guidance. Both rooms were exceptional and maintained to a high standard and overlooked the lovely wheel. Tea coffee and biscuits were replenished daily as well as water. While we didn’t have breakfast this time we did hear positive feedback! Every staff member we encountered during our stay was amazing, couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. I had such a great stay in returning again 30th October for 2 nights. Leonardo Liverpool keep doing what ye do best . Keith

“Good Value & Excellent Location”

Great location for exploring the city & really close to the Albert Dock. Comfortable room which was very clean. The room wasn’t that big, but fine for a short stay & was ideal for us as we were travelling as a group of 3, so it had a double & single bed. Breakfast was included & had plenty of choice. Nice comfortable bar area to relax in. I’ve not given a 5 as the cost of a 20cl of Prosecco was outrageous, £11! After checking the drinks menu after we’d ordered & paid for our drinks at the bar , the £11 was for a premium brand (Bottega). What we received was another bog standard brand. When we questioned it, we were told that’s what they were told to put it through as. We didn’t take it any further as it was all a bit awkward & I didn’t want to make a fuss, but we felt ripped off. Shame as it just soured our experience slightly.
