“Comfortable, clean, friendly and very central (and cheap)”
We went to visit our daughter for her 21st in Uni. The Adelphi is 2 minute walk from her accommodation and 3 mins from the station. You are right in the centre of the city. Our room was at budget price (£44 for a double) but extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff were very frie… more
We went to visit our daughter for her 21st in Uni. The Adelphi is 2 minute walk from her accommodation and 3 mins from the station. You are right in the centre of the city. Our room was at budget price (£44 for a double) but extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For an extra £10 we could get in early which meant we did not have to take luggage around. Also my husband could join a client online meeting in comfort. Thank you all.

“A mixed bag in the heart of Liverpool”

The good: great central location for city attractions; grand character building inside and out; spacious central lounge for downtime; roomy bedrooms; breakfast/dinner was decent and plentiful; good drinks deals in the downstairs bar. The bad: WiFi quality appalling – only works in certain parts of the hotel so if your room’s in a blackspot you’ll be caning your mobile data if here for a week; annoying shower that takes a while to get temperature right as not a mixer tap (albeit good water pressure); pool table in bar too dear at £2 a game – is why no one was playing it; air hockey had only one ‘bat’ so unplayable; the lobby & reception area is always freezing in cold weather as a front door is kept open. All in all, relatively minor problems offset by the greater plus points, and overall fair value for the price of a stay here – if they could iron out those niggles it’d be a fantastic venue.
