“Immaculate hotel, staff so happy and friendly”

Stayed for new years eve and new years day with our 11 and 8 year old. Couldn’t fault the hotel, rooms immaculate, food what you’d expect for price. Stayed for new years eve and new years day with our 11 and 8 year old. Couldn’t fault the hotel, rooms immaculate, food what you’d expect for price. Staff couldn’t do enough for you happily gave us ice for the room let me take breakfast bits up to the room for the kids. Bar staff really under pressure as very busy but they still have perfect customer service. Very impressed with the new modern travel lodge! Really nice bar. Will definitely use again. Big thank you for being so accommodating with our kids and so friendly! Shout out to the lady working behind the bar new years eve, (long blonde hair) brilliant under pressure and still smiling

We stayed here for two nights as it is very handy for visiting my family. We have stayed in Blackpool south several times. Check in was fast and flawless and we was given room 19 on the ground floor. Come night time, the room had very bad road noise, a man hole cover right outside the window with every vehicle made a very loud banging sound. At 01.30 there was five men having an argument/fight and the fan in the bathroom was so noisy none stop. At breakfast a very nice lady, member of staff asked “how was our night” I didn’t want to complain but I told her. I wish I took her name. Within five minutes she had moved us to a high floor not facing the road. Room 513. The room was great. A perfect nights sleep. I would like to take this chance to say a massive Thank You to her. All the staff were very friendly and more than helpful, also made a fuss of our over sized dog. The breakfast was plentiful and served hot.

Stayed January 2025, fancied a last minute getaway. Staff on reception were great. We got a room on floor 1, which I was quite disappointed about as I prefer a top floor room usually. I had read other reviews saying the road facing side of the hotel had a really annoying loose grate on the road that makes noise when vehicles pass over, so was glad to be facing the car park side at least for this reason (even numbers seem to be on that side), and we did hear this noise when we went out and walked along that stretch of road so worth baring in mind. Our room was fine however, basic, mostly clean and practical, good value for the price. The bed was very comfy and it was nice being able to control the heating in the room. The hot water for the bath/shower was actually hot too! If I was being picky, the shelf above the coat hangers was dusty and the tea and coffee wasn’t topped up and our view was atrocious, overlooking the restaurant roof! You also get a lot of noise from the room above. The biggest issue I have with this hotel hands down has to be the other guests and total lack of soundproofing to help you survive it. Kids running up and down the corridor screaming, banging on doors, shouting, people having conversations in the corridor at 2am.. it’s absolutely ridiculous. I get that children play and make noise, but this level is mental, and I absolutely wouldn’t be letting my child run about and cause havoc like that, “holiday” or not, it’s just common decency to be considerate of others. Floor 1 also stunk of cannabis. The location is really good, it’s the main reason we booked this hotel. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance, but there’s trams and buses close by if you don’t fancy walking the seafront. It was cheap enough to book, but I wouldn’t stay here again if I came back to Blackpool. I’d rather spend more and enjoy it. If it wasn’t so last minute, I’d have researched a little more before booking up and probably would have stayed elsewhere. We usually like and trust a Travelodge. The breakfast was good value for money and the quality was decent. The orange juice is quite strange though! You may need to queue for a table at busier times, so bare this in mind. They also seem to pull tables out to the other side of reception for those with a dog accompanying them.
