We went for drinks at lunchtime in the No. 10 Bar. This hotel has so much history and photos of many dignitaries, prime ministers and information about their visits to the hotel are on the walls. So interesting. Chris who served us was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the history of The Imperial it was fascinating listening to him. He was friendly and very efficient and a real credit to the hotel. Highly recommend a visit. Thank you Chris xx

Lovely welcome from staff on arrival, small problem with room key card but this was rectified quickly, Room was a bit tired but good value for money, parking is £10 per night again good value, Can't comment on facilities or comfort as due to a medical incident in the early hours( suspected heart attack) an ambulance was required and we spent the night at the hospital, on returning in the morning we had missed breakfast so cant comment on that and had just enough time to check out.(on our return not 1 staff member asked if we were OK or were aware of the hospital stay, except a gentleman who was on reception when the ambulance was called, which I feel is very poor customer service), We were looking forward to our stay at The Imperial so would book again if visiting Blackpool

Beautiful old building with lots of history and would have been absolutely magnificent in its day. Good car parking facility for residents at a reasonable price. Reception is a grand area lots of old features, chandeliers etc and it still retains is old musty scent!! Check in was easy and staff very friendly and our room was ready for us. Room was spacious but very dated, the brown furniture was tired and needed replacing and the wallpaper was peeling in places together with a very large yellow patch on the ceiling where there had been a leak. Colour scheme certainly matched the period of the hotel in its day and traditional. Bathroom was clean with fresh towels, robes and slippers but again bathroom very much in need of decorating especially the window area and toilet had chips (not the fried kind) on the toilet seat . Bed linen was clean and fresh and we had two beds to make one big one. The room had an interconnecting door which we did not require and the keyholes had been blocked with toilet paper!! A good nights sleep was on the cards but that didn’t happen, the noise from the room above suggested the Tower Circus had booked their Elephants in for the night and the room at the side of us seemed to enjoy early 2am TV with the volume on “deaf mode”. Beds were hard, which is not my preference, even though they had put toppers on the mattress so in all I never slept a wink. I knew it was daybreak as I could see the daylight through the holes in the blackout curtains!! We visited the bar for a couple of drinks and found it quite pricey £10 for a rum and coke. Maybe that’s reasonable for a hotel and I need to get out more! Breakfast was part of our package and I can honestly say we could not fault it, staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive and the food was of excellent quality with a very large selection of hot and cold food to choose from. Dining room was clean and bright. In my very humble opinion it’s not a 4 Star Hotel at the moment although it probably was in the past. The hotel is in a great location by the North Pier overlooking the sea with just a 15 min walk to The Tower or the Tram stop is right outside.
