“Great location”

The hotel was more than adequate for what we required which was a 1 night stay. The check in process was simple and the room plenty big enough and comfortable. The bathroom was also well appointed. The hotel is located very close to the tower and town centre.

“Paid over odds for this but great location”

Good location for the North side of blackpool. Comfy bed - room cold but that suited me. Poor reception staff and bathroom quite dirty. Would not use shower. Paid £10 for later check out which I thought was reasonable. Maybe would not be grumbeling but paid £115 as it was NYE

We’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always been OK. This time however the room was a disappointment. On arrival, although the staff were friendly enough, my request to have a high up room fell on deaf ears, I had also requested this in advance. We usually stay on the third floor but this time ended up on the second floor which makes a big difference to the noise levels from outside. As someone with a chronic illness, sleep is so important. I’m guessing as the hotel was quiet they weren’t using the third floor. We ended up in room 202 which had a reasonably nice view of the sea and north pier. Anyway, in addition to the noise at night, the bed was far less comfortable than we are used to at this hotel and sleep quality was poor. The room had a lumpy old mattress with a ‘topper’ on it. The window didn’t work properly so we couldn’t open it so we had no fresh air. To add insult to injury the vent in the bathroom had been clogged up so there was little to no ventilation. The bathroom also had mould which was rather off putting and in the main room there were cobwebs on the ceilings. Even the kettle was dirty. The cleaners clearly hadn’t done very much and there hadn’t been an inspection of the room for some time. However, the positives – Great location, room rates are reasonable, plenty of hot water, good heating, the room looks quite nice in terms of decoration and the staff are pleasant. Tip – Only 2 plug sockets in the rooms and they are nowhere near the bed so we always bring a multi socket ext lead. In all honesty although this particular experience wasn’t the best, we’ll probably stay again as we haven’t had these issues previously and this is the location we want.
