“All round good value.”
Lovely hotel and friendly staff ,good central location. Particularly liked the piano bar in the evening.substantial breakfast buffet. All round very good value. I would definitely stay again, conservatory a bonus for watching the sea and promenade.

“The Empress Hotel”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Empress. The hotel itself was lovely, and the staff were all very friendly and professional. As an added bonus, Phil, who plays in the hotel piano bar is absolutely fantastic - an exceptional pianist, absolutely first-class! Highly recommended!

“We will be returning before too long”
Stayed at the Empress Hotel several times, always comfortable, clean and lovely staff,from housekeeping,receptionists dining room and bar staff My husband's only complaint ......beer too expensive compared to nearby establishments Hopefully we will return soon.

“No hesitation in going back a rem gem”
The room with the sea view was large and very clean as was the hotel throughout. The staff were excellent. Breakfast could have done with a bit more variety i.e. ham and cheese. The real problem was there was only one lift for four floors. Altogether it was a really good stay

Empress hotel is located in central promenade . Seaview was right in front of you. Although when we visit last month they are doing some building works , so there's Scaffolding all over the front of the hotel. Deluxe double room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff.
