“Nice spa evening away”

Stable room was very nice, but not very well sound proofed could hear every word the neighbours said. Spa area is lovely, could do with a few more loungers and maybe some where to order a drink or light snack whilst using the spa. Overall a pleasant stay in a very nice looking hotel

Booked a stay when visiting Stowe (Gardens and House) and Bletchley Park. Very convenient for both. Plenty of parking and the entrance to the hotel is on the right hand of the hall. Booked a stay when visiting Stowe (Gardens and House) and Bletchley Park. Very convenient for both. Plenty of parking and the entrance to the hotel is on the right hand of the hall. It is a big hotel, two weddings on the day I arrived but the service was still good. Nice room, very comfortable bed and all you expect, nice tv, tea & coffee etc. The odd thing was the wardrobe. It had not doors but that was OK as it was where the tea/kettle was. But if you had long clothes the hanging bar in the wardrobe was placed too low for dresses/coats. It was quite a maze to find the rooms but there is a very clear map provided. There was a really warm welcome, I arrived early so had to wait for my room, sat in the bar and very comfortable wait.

I have stayed here a few times now for work and have enjoyed all of them. The outside and communal areas are beautiful, the staff friendly polite and always happy to help and the food is lovely. The breakfast is good quality and flavourful and always served fresh. The room service, although a limited menu, is served hot and promptly and the staff always polite and professional. The rooms, standard double, are on the small side and the work space is limited but the beds are comfortable and quiet there is no road noise or noise from neighbouring establishments that you tend to get with hotels closer to the city. If you are after a room with a view for a romantic break you will definitely need to upgrade your room or you will be disappointed. I've stayed three times in three different rooms and my only views have been of very close brick walls. For a work visit it is a pleasure to stay although some of the finer details could do with a freshen up such as plug chains with corrosion and marks on sealant etc Depending on availability it is often cheaper than the chains in the city center and you get the use of the spa as well.

After a refurbishment two years ago there is a clear deterioration in standards here . The restaurant food used to be excellent , it is now no more than average . A good selection for breakfast but the hot food is borderline on cold and some of it actually was . Customer service - communication is poor and housekeeping is inefficient while either staying at the hotel or after the event and don't expect a response to any e-mail or telephone communication. I would not stay here or vit the restaurant again .
